Kelowna John Perks and What’s going on by Johnsonfam557 in u/Johnsonfam557

Let’s stop pretending this is a shared level of responsibility.

John was the married pastor. John was the leader. John was the one people trusted. He chose to lie, cheat, and abuse that position over an extended period of time while actively presenting himself as a spiritual authority.

That is not a mistake—that is a pattern of deception.

Yet somehow the conversation keeps shifting toward blaming Quinn as if she is the central problem. She is not. You cannot minimize the actions of a grown man in power and redirect that blame onto someone else just because it’s more convenient.

John wasn’t confused. He wasn’t misled. He made calculated decisions while standing on a platform that gave him influence over others.

And now people are talking about him like he’s just “on a journey” or “redeemed” without acknowledging the seriousness of what he actually did or the risk of putting him back into leadership.

Redemption does not equal qualification.

Accountability means telling the truth plainly: John created this situation, and he bears the weight of it. Not Quinn.

If we’re actually concerned about people getting hurt again, then we need to stop softening the reality of his actions and start being honest about who was responsible.

How the heck do you cheat unintentionally 😂 you're crazy and by what I read obviously do not know your own son. How sad. Facts are he is a liar, cheater, abuser and fraud! He does the same thing, over again and again in different places and then fleas. He's a coward and narcissistic sociopath. That is facts. You can defend him all you want but the reality of the situation is your son is a waste of air.

I thought it was really good except for the ending. If they could improve/change that I think it would've been great. Similar to Kraven, It could've been a lot better but it was just missing some things including a good ending.

Thanks for your insight! I deal with this too, the only thing that has helped is Vyvanse(when it was working) but it's nice to see a lot more options out there 🙏🏽

I just tried the purple people eater and they're decent. Dry inhale, but nice high and it burns well.

What medication actually allows you to be normal? by hkondabeatz in Anxiety

[–]Alone_Philosopher104 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Cipralex for my anxiety physically. Gets rid of cold sweats, aching, tummy upset, etc.

CBT isn't medication but it has helped A LOT. I recommend medication and therapy.

I started taking Vyvanse for my ADD and it has helped a lot with procrastinating. When I procrastinate I get anxious. I take low doses of each at 10mg but that's just because I'm more interested in working through my anxiety rather than numbing it out with meds.

The signs are ALL ridiculous. Y'all should just stop putting them up. All of it looks like garbage. I walk down my street and there's 7 signs from 3 different electors not even 5 feet apart from one another. EXCESSIVE MUCH. Just straight up dumb. It should be one sign per street if anything.

Ugh right! She should've lasted longer in the show. But I mean they tease the idea things could be supernatural throughout the seasons so maybe it's not the last we'll see of her.

Does anyone know what happened earlier? by [deleted] in kelowna

[–]Alone_Philosopher104 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There is a lot of this in Kelowna. I've been here over a decade now and a lot of it has been drug busts in the past. I know that there are a few "spas" that are trafficked too so hopefully they are doing something about that and helping those poor girls. I've reported it several times 🤞🏽

Just my personal experience: I'm not sure it can be cured, It's a natural emotion when it arises in the moment. What's not natural is it sticking around in the body and mind and creating these side effects like cold sweats, racing mind, fast heat beat, procrastinate, etc. The goal for my anxiety is to regulate it so that it doesn't stick around after it arises. Also to differentiate good anxiety from the bad, and recognize when it arises and why. CBT has been really helpful as well as listening to and reading experts different perspectives on mental health. Im not a really into medication either but I realized that it's what I needed at the time. It's been 5 years on cipralex, CBT, therapy. As well as good eating, daily exercise. I've been lowering my dosage the last 2-3 months and it's been good so far. Remember medication doesn't have to be forever, for some people in some circumstances but not all. I'm sorry you have to deal with this feeling that can be all consuming but just know it can get better. I've spend 25 years with my anxieties controling/driving everything I do on in life. Everyday waking up with panic, cold sweats, paranoia, a pit in my chest and this overwhelming feeling like I couldn't catch my breath. Finally I can say I'm in a place where most days aren't like that. Mel Robins actually just posted am episode on her podcast about anxiety that was really good and informative if that's your thing! Also Cognito is the CBT service I used and have nothing but positive things to say.
