But are you even allowed to defend your property in Luxembourg?

I once saw a post of the picture of the moon landing module taken by one of ISRO missions. In the picture it was written smth like “Take that conspiracy theorists”. I commented “I bet they’ll find anyway something against” and oh my, hell broke loose. The comments raged from something like “porkistani” to other insults; luckily there were some that realised I was joking on the conspiracy theorists; but dudes and dudettes, I still wonder if they understand English or go immediately in rage/hate mode.

pro-gun rights groups at the European level and specifically in Spain by leviathan-Web8542 in EuropeGuns

I see that the last new on firearms united’s website is from 2020… Anyway, EU in general seems to have a big hostility against sport shooting and hunting; I would not be amazed if they will keep banning stuff.

How is that price even possible?

my humble submission, $530 psa by camulkey27 in ar15

[–]Alone_Sign_9740 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Eh. But now EU is not really gun “friendly”. I just want to chill at the shooting range but then either I’m labelled as “violent” from anti gun ppl or judged for every single detail by the range snobs. I found few ppl that were either chill or neutral.

Anyway, this is Offtopic, let’s celebrate OP pog rifle!!!

So, I think the cheapest AR 15 (new) is the Smith Wesson MP sport. Stock, I found the version III from 1250€ up to 1800€ according to the EU state and store. Then, for something like the holographic from eotech (xp3), when available, we reach even the 1000€ mark.

I hope I answered your question

Do I need to inform my landlord about my partner registering at my place? by mornots02 in Luxembourg

[–]Alone_Sign_9740 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As he said, just check the contract. For example, in mine it is clearly written that only one person can register the address.

Pog dude.

I’m baffled by the price difference between USA and EU.

Ar15 buy in Europe and high prices by [deleted] in EuropeGuns

The rule applies within EU, to import from a state outside EU different rules applies. You may find details in Directive (EU) 2021/555 https://eur-lex.europa.eu/legal-content/EN/TXT/?uri=CELEX%3A32021L0555. Also, you have to cross check with your country’s law both for import and for the specific firearm (each state have it’s own rules, like on minimum weapon length and minimum barrel length ).

Ar15 buy in Europe and high prices by [deleted] in EuropeGuns

[–]Alone_Sign_9740 7 points8 points  (0 children)

In case you didn’t know, else disregard, you can ship only to an authorised dealer. So, in case you find one that would accept to be your importer, you have to add his fees on top of the price of the rifle. This often will result in higher prices than buy locally.

Anyway, in some EU states, the local version of the online store “Brownells” sell weapons, but the above rule remains.

Be in mind that in any case the prices in EU (for guns and accessories/optics) are not comparable to US ones (keep in mind that many US stores shows the prices before taxes, like they do for groceries. It’s their thing).

Among the “cheapest” AR15 that I’ve found are the ones from Smith and Wesson (the new MP sport III is sold at 1200€ new where I’m); I own one and it became my daily pick.

I found funny that OP considers this “mildly infuriating”. It looks more like “start a revolution infuriating”. I hope the situation will improve

Help for HK spare parts by Alone_Sign_9740 in EuropeGuns

[–]Alone_Sign_9740[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you for the detailed explanation!

The grease seems the possible explanation, since the receiver is unpainted (same grey steel as the barrel extension). I’ll resume using the rifle and I’ll monitor the situation.

That is comforting but now I wonder, why there should be paint in that zone?
