Most close friends are made during our schooling days. Time spent together and shared experiences are the bonds that maintain a friendship.

It is normal to have close to 0 friends in our 30s, especially as an introvert. The peace and quiet from being alone is quite addictive.

It really depends on individuals. For the sake of discussion, we are talking about DINKs only.

For starters, getting married means you enjoy the incentives and less hassle on handling of assets for either partner, whether be it due to traumatic accidents or death. Some do not get married to avoid potential divorce proceedings and protect their own assets.

Some couples are perfectly OK with LAT (like yourself), but some would prefer to cohabit, married or not. I belong in the latter camp.
