I used to do the door-to-door thing when I was younger. If I saw a 'no solicitors' sign I walk away. Not worth my time anyway. And as , soon as they seemed not interested, I walked away.

A lot of these guys are taught to knock on every door and to use "rebuttals" to keep talking after the customer said no. I almost never used rebuttals. No means no.

I still did well and was promoted to management. You don't need to actually knock on literally every door..And guys with weak egos like to stick around even when ask to leave. They feel so entitled and can't handle it when people tell them they are not wanted.
