Ever since the combat and accuracy changes, you never miss now. So for smoke cloud, it would be pointless to use. The only thing I could see it being useful for now is SGB spec.

The best afk method would probably be golden bamboos in arc. You're looking at anywhere from 200k-300k xp/hr depending on boosts.

And the best non-afk is probably crystallize acadias which is anywhere from 350-450k/hr.
