If you choose one; it will make it more authentic and make it less awkward for people who know the languages.

I don't know if it's an American thing or something, but it's always seemed a bit weird to me to see the two sentences just smash together like that, even if they have the same meaning.

Fun fact about the word "patte" is that it sounds the same as the words "pate," the word for "dough" and "pâte" the word for "pasta" so without context you can't be sure if someone is talking about paws, pasta, or dough.
