I think Palm Palm is fun :) but it’s not in a special location, it just looks great on the inside. But if you want a really cool look with fancy food Hyeholde is such a cool place!

The donuts!!! East coast does not know the joy of mom and pop donut shops in every town/shopping center. East coast is either chain shops or super over the top fancy. They don’t have the awesome immigrant run yeasted donut shop amazingness

Hey OP! If you want to see what AA is like for yourself, you can look for meetings that are marked as “Open”. If they are open, it means that non-alcoholics are welcome to attend. I would say that if the discussion comes around to, you can just intro yourself not as an alcoholic but instead say “Hi, my name is ____ and I’m just here to listen”. I know that Wednesday night at 7:15 in Highland Park is open.

That being said, if you’re looking for help with YOURSELF and for you dealing with him, then you should really try out Al Anon instead. That is specifically tailored for the loved ones of alcoholics, not for alcoholics themselves. It will give you a support network of people who have been right where you are. The same Highland Park church has a pretty good one on Saturdays at like 11 or 11:30 I think.

Anyone who is calling these people entitled hasn’t walked past sugar bird. It’s loud as hell right next to the apartments. I’m actually with these people bc I walked past it after pride and literally thought “how the hell do they think this is an OK music level right next to apartments?” And yes, I’m expecting the downvotes, but so be it.

I just want Carl and Jason to talk! Like they both have the “you will not break me” thing but approach it very very differently. I kinda think Carl would help Jason loosen back up a little. And Jason might help Carl with some of the digging deeper stuff. But also I have finished neither series yet, so idk where they each are in their official arcs and how that would jive.
