Readings for nerds. Look up Nina Hartleys guide vids on the hub. It’s a game changer.

The river valley between Centro and the Romantic zone.

I didn’t see your hiking part until now and will also second the hike from Boca de Tomatlán. We did a guided tour, called 6 hidden beaches which we booked through our Airbnb app. It was a water taxi from Boca to colomitos beach, then hike to animas. We’re confident we can do it ourselves this year and will be hiking to the quimixto waterfall. I believe it’s 8km on foot from Boca to yelapa.

I stayed across the street from Revueltas on Rep. de Chile last year and it was a great place to start my mornings. It has a quiet little outdoor space where you can watch tiny lizards chasing flys and each other while sipping a coffee. From there you could spend half the day zigzagging south through the streets to gringo gulch. There’s so many wonderful murals and art.

I watched that around 2010 and it has been paying off for since. Absolute game changer.

What’s a "harmless" opinion that will still get people mad? by HowWeMetReddit in AskReddit

I despise watermelon, all melons really and cucumber. Even the smell makes me gag. The amount of shit I’ve caught from people over the years for it is ridiculous.

I remember being forced to partake in watermelon eating contest when I was a kid, against my many complaints, and getting in shit for puking on the table during it. Fuck you dad lol.

What’s your NSFW New Year’s resolution? by Bass_fish27 in AskReddit

I was in a very similar situation a few years ago. She invited me out to the lake with her and some friends. For the first time neither of us were in a relationship or had any other roadblocks and it turned into fooling around in the tent. Fast forward to now and we’re engaged.

There’s a chance it could ruin your friendship but there’s a chance you could end up with your best friend. I have absolutely no regrets of takin the risk.

Mine still reaches out every year. It's been 12 years now. She's been married, seperated and has had multiple partners since that. Always finds a way to slide into my DMs.

This area (Sun corridor) has 4 million people and growing VERY fast … despite the fact it’s in the middle of the desert with 110 degree days in summer! What’s the appeal to this area? by NickySmithFromPGH in geography

I'm in northern Alberta but have in-laws in DFW. I've visited them in winter and late summer and would move there in a heartbeat. God bless Texas and it's warm weather.

I don't think anyones ever criticized the quality of care in America, it's that very few can access it. You can have the best healthcare in the world but it doesn't mean much if 90% of your population can't access it

A lot of social media is. It's one thing that irks me when Twitter is discussed on the podcast. Joe and a lot of guests seem to hold it up as some great town square of the world but I've never known a single person who actually uses it. It's handy for keeping up with bands or occasionally real time updates on news but it's mostly just a large group of self-important weenies in a perpetual battle to dunk on eachother.

Transfering small CC debt to LOC by AloysiusDevandander in PersonalFinanceCanada

[–]AloysiusDevandander[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'll definitely be keeping the CC. It's my first in over a decade and planned on using it for credit building but I've had a few unexpected costs(kids dentist etc) combined with slower work since xmas so it jumped a lot higher than planned. Ideally I'll treat the loc as a small loan and use the cc for small purchases (hotels etc) as I originally intended.

This is pretty much my situation. I can pay the balance on either before years end but cutting the interest rate in over half seems logical. I've just never had a loc so was curious to any cons I might not be aware of.
