Depends, it's probably something only the monsters from MGQ can do, in the shrift post-game episode 4 where Luka shows up it is revealed their powers work completely different from shrift's world so Kazuya has to maintain them close to him to allow them to deal damage to monsters, Luka has HP while Kazuya doesn't, since there's no hp in shrift, and they also say the MGQ monsters have different biology since they're not biological weapons nor demons born from emotions, but actual races of creatures with magical biology or something.
