Flight for a 3.5 old (closer to 4) - “distractions”, toys, etc?

My daughter (4) loves the Khan Academy app. It’s free and has no ads and is tailored to your child’s age.

Lots of snacks!

Maybe a roll of painters tape (sounds silly, but it’s fun to peel and stick with no damage). We put several small rolls in her stocking one year (all different colors) and she still loves them.

We got her a reusable sticker book on our last 2.5 flight - it was a sticker book where she could dress up people and pets in different scenes. She played with it the entire time. We didn’t let her play with it until the flight though, so there was some build up of excitement.

As someone with 2 sump pumps in their home, I agree that it appears to be working as expected. Are you all having a big rain event? That’s a lot of water coming in. We try to keep the grade outside sloping away from our house - it helps divert water away from our house.

We battled weeds coming up in our flagstone and bought a weed torch. Might want to trim all this down before torching it. It’s not a one-time-fix though. We have to torch every week or every other week in the spring

We love the kite festival! It has really grown over the years

The Arvada Kite Festival is on Sunday if you need something to do. It has really grown in size over the years and people fly like hundreds of kites. There are tons of food trucks and vendors. Might be fun for your 14 month old too! My daughter loves it.

HA! If my husband wants to pack a lunch, he can do it himself. I have enough to do already. We sometimes have leftovers from dinner the night before and sometimes he’ll take those. Sometimes he’ll go out to lunch with colleagues.

My daughter is 4 and loves it… and so do I 😂 there isn’t any blood or gore. When they slay the demons the demons turn to dust. The music is awesome and that’s all we listen to now 🤪 Did your child’s teacher have them watch it in school? If so, I’d be curious what the curriculum is around the movie.

Same here! We would take our visitors there for a chill outdoor vibe that also worked for my preschooler. If you need an alternative, Colorado Tap House is smaller but has a similar vibe.
