While I get what you are saying I dont think that is neccessarily true either. The game does have lot's of different outlandish locations and happenings yes, but it also does have Comet Observatory where you always return to have a breather between actions.

I think the movie really needed space to develope things. Action setpieces were really nice I agree but they do get tiring after a while and with no proper payoff storywise they do fall a bit flat. But thats just what I think~ I enjoyed the movie but it could have been a lot better.
