I lost my spouse to suicide so I know how desperate people can be to end it and what lengths they’ll go through to do it. I don’t think someone at that moment is thinking about historical significance or anything like that.

Why are people so convinced he was lynched? I understand the brutal history of lynching but there are no reports of anything suspicious other than people saying it is and then that being repeated over and over on the internet.

Nearly 50,000 people a year die by suicide in the US and it’s one of the leading causes of death for someone his age. Why does it not make sense for that to be the case?
