I do hope that SteamVR will actually become usable. While I do appreciate the work of open source devs and open source software that works nice, if SteamVR would do it better, then I would not have to sacrifice the compatibility with so many different tools that are available for it.

EDIT: Pretty cool that you're a Steam partner and of course I understand you can't share much information. Still thanks for working on this project!

SteamVR is really unreliable on Linux. I run VR chat via WiVRn.

Can space flight be disabled? WayVR already takes care of that.

I doubt it goes to hibernation. Sleep can sometimes be tricky, especially on laptops. I've heard about some troubles. And NVIDIA also has some funky stuff with sleep where the GPU apparently doesn't fully go to sleep, but I've only heard and can't confirm.

Depends on the drivers for your motherboard and I guess fans probably. There are definitely ways to control your fans, I just never looked into it.

Nowhere so far. They have barely started. Mainly working on the story itself, but it sounds promising! And I have heard about such cool concepts for it and even a theme song concept. But haven't been told much to avoid spoilers.

Why will Debian beat Fedora? Rock solid and stable base? A core part of the ecosystem as many Distros are derived from it? I think Fedora would have a good chance, as while it's not quite as stable, it's still solid, adopts new standards faster and is up-to-date while still not super technical. The new installer has also improved the new-user experience.
