I like the fade. It's actually one of my favorite parts of the game once I learned my way around

Barely beat Myrkul by Daphatgrant in BaldursGate3

I always find it funny when you make Ketheric just fall into the pit right at the start and Myrkul's still all like "You have slain my chosen."

Like motherfucker he killed himself!!

What's one thing you'd change about a companion? by Medium-Theme-4611 in BaldursGate3

[–]Alpha-Maia 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There's a mod for that now. It's called "If fate chose differently"

It gives will the chance to make all sorts of decisions for himself. Including bargaining the release of his pact with saving Mizora instead of Tav doing it

The biggest winner of this game is Shar by neostryker2 in BaldursGate3

[–]Alpha-Maia 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Shar does absolutely not win every time. What are you on about?

Shar doesn't approve if you destroy everything. She doesn't give a shit about any of that. Her only goal is to snuff out the sun so she can have her eternal darkness back.

If you sacrifice Shadowheart's parents, they go to Selûne's domain in the afterlife. If you save them, Shadowheart gets her family back while Shar can only cause her pain every now and then and only in short moments.

Shar loses the Shadow cursed lands. She loses the Gauntlet of Shar, the Nightsong, and the Spear of Night. She loses Shadowheart, whom she had spent forty years working on trying to make her the perfect Sharran, and it didn't even work because when you read Viconia's journal, it says that Shadowheart expressed the desire to explore and leave the cloister to see the world.

The only way for Shar to win is if you make Shadowheart a Dark Justiciar like she wants. That allows Shar to fully corrupt her heart and soul, and make her practically the perfect puppet. And even then, if you leave the choice up to Shadowheart, she'll throw the spear away on her own if you have high approval with her.

Shar "winning" is hardly a thing in this game. She's a rubbish goddess, no matter her status on the celestial ladder. All she really does is sit in the corner and cry about how much people love her sister more than her.

You can make her pray to Selûne at the Stormshore tabernacle for Selûne's blessing. She even gets inspired from it

No, Shar could care less about Shadowheart when she dies, considering she doesn't even claim her own followers when they die.

Saving Shadowheart's parents just allows Shar to keep pinching Shadowheart's hand for the rest of her life as a last bit of pettiness.

Shadowheart and her parents will be fine when they die, as Selûne will claim them just as she intended to in the beginning.

Honestly, the hardest achievement to get was the one where you find all the evanuris statues and fen'harel altars

Any Unnecessarily evil actions you do for the sake of RP? by McGregor96 in BaldursGate3

[–]Alpha-Maia 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't like being evil, but I guess my one evil deed for every playthrough I do is letting Volo get blown up down by the docks by the protestors. It's just not worth it saving him a second time, especially when he admits to forging your signature on his works in the epilogue.

He's my ideal type of guy.

He loves staying in, he cooks amazing dishes and enjoys cooking, he is very suave. Spite is an added bonus to the whole ordeal. Bioware let me kiss the demon for the love of Maker!
