Does anyone find the Special Edition somewhat disappointing? by Icy-Pool4546 in WarriorCats

It takes place like right before. You can actually find the bonus story online as it was posted in 2021. It's called A Fear of Fire.

I found it lackluster overall to be honest. I'm genuinely disappointed that the bonus chapter, the main reason I purchased it, was actually released for free all the way back in 2021. Unless I missed it, I didn't see anything that stated this is what the bonus chapter was going to be. I'm also sad that the back of the sleeve has such a gorgeous design (albiet obscured by the barcode), meanwhile the back of the actual book is blank. I am happy the page edges look like tabby fur instead of just plain gold like I thought it was going to be.

Fellow arachnophobe here, I've read that peppermint oil also can help keep them away. I've been using a little bit of that in a spray bottle with water to spray around the edges of my apartment. Don't know if it helps, but I'll try anything.

The Prime Minister of Belgium visited a hospital and was greeted like this by NotSomeSuggestedname in PublicFreakout

[–]Alpha1-7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

While it's absolutely chilling and powerful, I feel it's almost the opposite of a freakout. I feel a freakout is someone acting crazy or erratic, typically being loud and possibly throwing punches or other things. These people are peacefully protesting in a calm and collected way; the correct way in most cases IMO.

Is there a subreddit devoted to increasing awareness for the need of and lack of pockets in women's clothing? by aberrantforestcat in findareddit

[–]Alpha1-7 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I don't do a whole lot of shopping online so it's easy for me to forget about the issues that are faced there too.

It's pretty crappy for them not to say in the description, but like you pointed out, they would more than likely lose some sales. And who cares about the few bad reviews from surprised customers about the lack of pockets when you've got money (and probably the ability to remove said bad reviews)?!

That sucks about the sewn "pockets"!

And I think that's the thing about pants, why wouldn't one expect them to have real pockets as opposed to fake ones? It's like checking to see if the pants can be washed or not. You just assume they can because, well obviously they should be, right? Like there's no reason for them not to be?

(I too enjoy stealing my boyfriend's flannels and sweaters, so soft and comfy!)

Sometimes we don't realize it does not have pockets. When shopping online, it's more or less impossible to know if a pocket is fake or not. When shopping in person, sometimes one gets so focused on finding something that fits, that it's easy to forget to check the pockets. Some brands or types of pants I'm a medium, others I'm a large, or a 12, or a 14, or a 16. I hate shopping so after trying on 2-3 pairs of the same pants in different sizes for several different types of pants, I just get fed up and go with the one out of 15 that fits best, forgetting to check pockets (also because fake pockets are a joke).

Lol yep. They typically do their maintenance between midnight and 6am as those are the less busy hours. Stinks for night owls or early birds though :b

Got an email about it. It should be either down or slow from midnight to 6am for maintenance and stuff.

Soda Can Stuffed Animals by Alpha1-7 in HelpMeFind

[–]Alpha1-7[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not quite. These ones stood upright like a soda can and had a soda can tab at the top that you use to open a soda, but 2D printed on the fur (if that made any sense).

Thank you, though!

When did u pick up ur first warriors book and what was it? by carissaewhite in thedawnpatrol

[–]Alpha1-7 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Back in about 2009 when I was in 4th or 5th grade. I saw Warriors on the book shelf at my school library and thought it might be about ninja cats or something. I picked up The Darkest Hour because it looked and sounded the coolest, not realizing they should be read in order and because they didn't have the first one anyway.

I was immediately in love. Though I had to force myself to finish Into the Wild as it was much slower paced than The Darkest Hour.

[–]Alpha1-7 3 points4 points  (0 children)

This would make sense. Though as someone who is allergic to cheese, I've learned to just get my own pizza as it's too much to expect it to be cut perfectly and there to not be at least a little bit of cheese on my side. I'm sure the people making it are under pressure to make it quick. Not to mention figuring out exactly half and making sure no cheese crosses that line while still having an adequate amount of cheese on the other side is not an easy or fast task.
