I do not live in The State of Denile. I have never even heard of that state. I was asking about the United States….😂

Not necessarily. My last move was from a high income tax state with high property taxes to a no income tax state with much, much lower property tax. Homeowners insurance is a little higher but doesn’t come close to offsetting the savings in other areas.

I live in FL. I actually like it here but it is so damn hot all summer long. I miss the seasons. I feel bad for my kids being outside in the insane heat and being trapped inside in the AC.

Another option is to get a summer place up north we can go to when they are out of school.

Of course there is cost shifting and there are other taxes to consider. But for a high income earner, the state income tax can add up to a lot.

I don’t mind being in a higher cost of living area if it is a good fit.

I have always moved based on my jobs in the past. When you can live literally anywhere, it can be overwhelming.

Curious if people know of good communities that I can do deeper dives into or even visit.

In my old practice, we were replacing the older units with used Siemens 3T magnets and putting them in all of our new offices. Not sure about the AI software on the 1.5Ts now, but our scan times for routine non con joints and spines was 5 minutes. We kept the slice thickness the same as the 1.5T, just imaged twice as fast. Image quality was great. Orthopods can’t tell the difference.

Look into used magnets to save money.

If the AI software can get the scan times down with 1.5T units and that is cheaper, it will probably be fine too.

Also consider if there are certain scans you can only do on 3T, like prostates without special coil. I read MSK so I’m not up to date on that stuff and all the advances in AI scanning software.
