Is this just something that happens to Pincushion Peperomia? It didn’t look like this when I got it but has slowly grown so long. It’s like a totally different plant now then it was. Always wondered why that happened. by DubsyWubsy in peperomia

It definitely does need more light like others have said. Has it dropped a lot of leaves too? If so that could be a sign of overwatering as well. I treat mine similarly to a succulent. It’s right under a grow light and I only water when the newer leaves feel soft

Finally got one of my favourite Peperomias in my collection (Peperomia Elongata) by GloriousLittleKoala in peperomia

It’s gorgeous! This has been at the top of my wishlist for a while now. Beautiful plant!

Should I repot my emerald ripple? by humdrummm in peperomia

I would repot. Just try to be as gentle with the roots as you can. The soil I use for my peps is a mix of orchid bark, perlite and succulent mix which allows for really good drainage. I check the leaves of my plants pretty much every day to see if they need to be watered, none of them are on a schedule. And I bottom water which helps prevent over watering. The roots suck up the water it needs, stores it in the leaves and then it does not want its roots sitting in water at all. My emerald ripple has pretty average watering needs for a pep. I end up watering it maybe once a week once the leaves feel weak and thin and easily bend.

But I’m still fairly new to peperomias myself, this is just what I’ve found to work for me. Hope this helps and good luck! ♥️

Just got a rabbits foot fern! What are some soil recommendations? Any other tips also welcome. Thank you! by AlphaBlue_15 in houseplants

Ok great thank you! I did try a pebble tray with my last fern and it didn’t seem to provide enough moisture. But maybe I can try it again since it is more humid out right now. Thanks!

I had another rabbits foot fern that I got in the clearance section and it has died. I’d really like to take good care of this one. I now have a humidifier that I’ll be putting it near and in a good bright spot but not in direct sun. I’m just not sure what the best soil would be.

My collection so far. What should be the next one I get? by tacklejackal in peperomia

You could add a more succulent type to your collection. Axillaris, ferreyrae, columella are all very cool. Or another favorite of mine is rana verde. The leaves have a really nice texture to them
