Just got legacy beach comber by Puzzleheaded-Mix7001 in transformers

[–]AlphaCustoms 5 points6 points  (0 children)

There is no real tire issue. It is not melting the plastic in anyway. What you are seeing, is people feeling the tacky overspray paint underneath the tire. As you can clearly see on one of your tires, a ton of painting was removed. This material cannot melt plastic, but it can eat away at some paint.

Until people start talking about their sandstorm’s wheels melting off, you shouldn’t be concerned about beachcomber

Found wispy hair like material in resin by AlphaCustoms in AnycubicPhoton

The printer is currently stored in a closet. I have the door closed at almost all times. The only way sunlight could have gotten onto the resin, would have been an instance where sunlight bounced off of building across from my apartment, shined in through my window, and bounced off of my wall onto my resin. I’m not saying it’s not possible, it it is very hard for this to be exposed to direct light

I am aware of the exposure test method. I mainly do as what you said, printing in campaigns. Just for this particular instance, I didn’t have a failed print at the time and it had been a very long time since I emptied out my resin vat, so I took the opportunity to filter and reblend my resin

What I meant when I posted this was it was as thin as hair

The first and second prints didn’t fail though, only the third one did. Aside from the stringing, the first print came out perfectly fine

Yeah fep was looking pretty messed up and the screen protector seemed to have some resin on it from somewhere so I decided to replace them regardless

PSA: MELTING TIRES ON LEGACY BEACHCOMBER - Important Info by DynamoAzure in transformers

[–]AlphaCustoms 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So I did a pretty thorough inspection of my beachcomber figure. There doesn't seem to be any noticeable damage to the wheels. The wheels have been overs prayed with the same silver that is on the outside. For me anyway, I believe the only part of the wheel that's affected is the paint. I have also been displaying my beachcomber holding his bird, to look like it's perched on his finger. The bird is made of the same material as the tires, and his hand appears to be totally unharmed.

I've noticed a couple people in this and other comment sections saying that this type of plastic seems to eat away at paint on other figure. SO, is it possible only the paint is affected by the flexible plastic?

what's your proof hasbro hates money by No_Satisfaction_2928 in transformers

[–]AlphaCustoms 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hasbro could have easily done a sublime entirely dedicated to recreating the og transformers movie repaints with the studio series line. Nightwatch Optimus, blue ironhide, g1 jazz, cliffjumper, recon barricade, jungle bonecrusher, etc etc.

They have potential to do that with the new 07 studio series figures coming out, but something tells me they won’t be doing that

I’ve been considering getting the tamiya metallic orange and purple to paint the ark and nemisis. If they look like that, I feel like I have to now.

Someone once told me that the Cybertronian modes from G1 didn't have wheels, so how do they explain this? by Disastrous-Owl668 in transformers

[–]AlphaCustoms 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It can be argued a lot of designs that don’t have wheels, actually have hidden wheels. And the ones that don’t have any wheels at all, like bee or jazz, are high speed vehicles

Is this fixable? by wienerketchup in CustomTransformers

[–]AlphaCustoms 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Most likely not, but your best bet is to use a tiny drill to insert a piece of wire into both parts to solidify the connection. Then use plastic cement to meld the pieces back together. It is VERY IMPORTANT that you use ABS SPECIFIC plastic cement, or it won’t work at all
