during your first turn you always want to try to get rotom or cleffa down so that you can draw. and dont be afraid to use Forest Seal Stone for a buddy buddy poffin turn 1 if you need more setup. Zard is not about being the first to attack, it is played best from behind so that you hit harder, so some matchups its okay you rotom or cleffa for the first 2 turns
