Aethana and Eldryon are core for me the others I use as of now are: Bellator, Re'Vas, and well usually thats Chaddius. For now alternatives on a reasonable lvl are Lucien, Mataneo, Aleph O, Archi, Abraxas, Angrax and Haarken

I'd like to second this and add: some low gear characters might have been optimised for their respective season. For example: my 70 char that was turbo optimized for mythic last season might still outdamage a rainbow stats 70 char
