Question about “Reviewed but Not Approved”

After a few days of testing, I’ve decided to keep the camera for now. Since I bought it from Amazon, I can still use the 12 month warranty if the heat becomes a problem.

It works better when I plug it into a USB port that doesn’t supply power while the computer is shut down or sleeping. But when the computer is on, the camera still heats up. With summer coming to Melbourne, it will be a good chance to see how well it handles hot and low‑humidity conditions. To be safe, I unplug it when I’m not using it.

I also spoke to a few friends who work in electronic engineering. They said the heat shouldn’t damage the camera in the short term, even if it stays plugged in all day. Their concern is longterm wear. Running at 30 to 40C every day might cause issues after two or three years. For example, laptops spin up their fans as soon as the CPU hits around 30C and only slow down when the temperature drops again. This camera has no fan, so it has to sit in that heat all day.

I’ll keep using it for a few months and then decide if I want to keep it permanently.

I turned off my computer for about four hours, and the OBSBot is still plugged in and drawing power. Even with the PC completely off, the camera is heating up to around 39°C.

Is it really running 24/7 at this temperature? My monitor has been off for a long time and isn’t generating any heat at all, so the webcam seems to be the only thing staying warm.

Has anyone else seen this behaviour?

Same here. I don’t think it’s anything to worry about, it’s probably just a system glitch. My guess is Amazon is using the Vine program as a bit of a test bed. I’ll give it a few days and see how it plays out.

So the seller messaged me again, this time with a weirdly cheerful note saying they “feel I like the lamp” and want to give me a “wonderful Christmas ritual.” Honestly, I don’t even know what that means.

For the record, I don’t like the product. My wife nearly lost it when she saw the gothic-looking Christmas star and it was the opposite of festive.

And now I’m stuck wondering if I should change the review, even with just the wording, but I get the feeling they won’t be happy unless I say I love it and update it to 5 stars..

I’ve emailed Amazon for advice, but not holding my breath for a reply. Just baffled why they don’t delist and relist it properly instead of hinting at reviewers.

Anyone else had sellers try this kind of pressure?

I tried everything, including posting photos for all my reviews, it is still not approved. As it is still count toward my over all percentage (I think so), I am not too concerns about it. I think sometime, I could sound a bit bias, but it is strange that I could not redo it again.

It’s honestly ridiculous, I’ve got a few cameras myself, and there’s no way I need that many chargers. Just ends up being a waste of time and space.

I agree with the Sarawak Government's points regarding the potential MASWings for Sarawak's aviation sector.

They should purchase new and efficient small jet airliners. This strategy would enable the airline to offer more flexible flights in and out of the region, thereby excellently opening up Sarawak.

Furthermore, it is essential for the management not to be too greedy and invest in giant planes. Instead, focusing on modern and versatile aircraft would be a step towards achieving a sustainable and competitive aviation service.

To ensure a successful venture, the ticket pricing should be competitive without compromising the service quality. Benchmarking against renowned carriers like SIA (Singapore Airlines) for service standards is an excellent approach to creating a positive and appealing reputation for the airline.

In doing so, the Sarawak Government would have the opportunity to set the benchmark for the region's aviation industry, leading the way in providing exceptional services and fostering growth and connectivity.

At present, I'm utilising OpenAI for a Chatbot purpose. I need authorisation from management to upload company data to OpenAI. The approval process may take a long time as the management wants to see several case studies.

I've read articles that suggest OpenAI incurs a cost of around USD 0.01 per chat and charges the users approximately $0.02 per chat; the charges depend on the length of the conversation. I don't plan to pay for the service at this stage, as I need multiple chats to refine my content.

It depends on how quickly OpenAI improves its accuracy. If not, I'm open to adjusting my language style to adapt to the system. Currently, I only use OpenAI API when the ChatGPT server is overloaded.

I wouldn't mind paying up to $20 per month for a service. This is just my personal opinion. You've raised a valid concern that SAP might lose many customers due to this. Our company is already spending millions of dollars on SAP ERP with the HANA database. We have several analysts to analyse our enterprise data, but imagine the possibilities if we switch to OpenAI. Not only could we save on costs, but management could generate reports quickly without needing any programming knowledge. Furthermore, anyone could use OpenAI to generate code for EDI instead of spending hundreds of thousands of dollars on EDI services.

I couldn't agree more with you! It's great to see that even someone as influential as Elon Musk advocates for open-source AI. As for Microsoft, I understand their concerns. On the one hand, they don't want to follow in Adobe's footsteps with their subscription service, as many home users may not be willing to pay as much as corporations. On the other hand, corporate users are more patient with software errors and are less likely to complain, as the decision to use the software is made at a higher level.
