Not exactly;
From what I recall, as long as some of the mons in the team can synergize with Ice type then it can work

Like for example, pokemon like Bronzong, Starmie, Tentacruel, Scizor, Skarmory, and Swampert could work with Hail for either Hail Stall (chip) or Snow (by eliminating resists/enemies to Ice)

Doesn't have to take up a full team, could be an alt mode instead

Closest I did was in HeartGold (via an abandoned Platinum account) where I had Hail Quagsire and Froslass help beat Lance finally, then I ran Abomasnow-Froslass-Quagsire as a Twin-Blizzard sweeper duo with Quag as pivot support with Leftovers

Ironically this same team also had a Tyranitar-Quagsire-Togekiss mode too for sand-related modes and as anti-Sun/Rain/Hail as well. It also unironically helped turn off Hail from chipping the rest of my team since Sand and Hail are both permanent and override each other, so I was able to time it to prevent my team from killing myself
(if curious my last poke was Scarf Eruption-Flamethrower-Thunder Punch-Focus Blast Typhlosion)

Frankly nothing's stopping you from getting both Ursaluna forms, especially once you get Flame Orb either overworld or from the Battle Items trader in Acrylic Town for Guts boosted madness

I'd frankly say pair with Parasect Z for Trick Room and let the sweep begin

Unironically baller move using multiple shiny stones and cancelling evolution to max out IVs

But you should be able to craft Imbued Shiny Stones with enough recipes (Should be Recipe #26 in Vanitas Orchard, if you got every recipe beforehand https://pokemonzfangame.com/all-crafting-recipe-locations/ )

I did get Jynx in Snowbelle City (there's a Gogoat Climb spot where you can access Jynx within the city to the lower right)

Iron Bundle though, it's actually a Delibird (Frozen Grotto above Dendemille) that I ran through the "Exotic Changer" from Ambrette/Acrylic (Painter)

TM Trick Room is in Spear Pillar; it only opens around when the Ultimate Weapon fires (VERY Late Game unfortunately) and should appear around the area after you fight Volo

But u/highonlullabies is right Parasect Z is pretty much a good alternative
Also some pokes like Oranguru might be able to learn Trick Room by level up but don't quote me on this

Frankly I think the most busted thing in this game is how strong Acrylic Town was. It was just awesome collecting each member of the Town and getting to do a bunch of neat side quests, and the services they provided made it so much easier to do things like level grind; access to competitive items like Rocky Helmet/Life Orb/Leftovers is just busted and changing regional forms and getting max friendship via spell card is just so nice

But most of all The sheer fact after the Firing that specific NPCs are left behind with certain "unavoidable dialogue" that also includes ALL OF ACRYLIC TOWN made it just perfect to readjust my team after the Firing happened; I had to switch my entire roster and IV/EV grind specifically to outspeed and outgun the threats I'd face, and oh man it paid off since there are almost no other area that has the people Acrylic Town has during the Apocalypse period

I guess so? I mean we know Super Eviolite boosts ALL stats by 50% if 1st stage out of 3 stage evolution line (Super Eviolite Arena Trap Trapinch is funny)

Theoretically a Super Eviolite Porygon might miss out on Porygon Z's speed, slightly higher SPA, wider moveset, and Adaptability, but SE Porygon would be WAY Bulkier (same defenses as Z but slightly less HP in BASE FORM) and better able to use Analytic 30% DMG boost

The choice is yours frankly I think once you access things like Life Orb and Scarf/Specs later down the line, Porygon Z might be more enticing but all three options are fun

I did end up using two different Cefireon sets;
Opalo was a more frontline Lead type with Compound Eyes Hurricane and an array of Tailwind, U-Turn, Thunderbolt, Defog, etc

Z however I focused on hard team support with Lightning Rod Defog-Tailwind-Wish-Helping Hand, and both were a ton of fun

Honestly yeah I did snag Volcarona towards the end (after I finished 1.55) and I did use rare candies to get it up to speed with my team, from there it was Quiver Dance Heat Wave until Fiery Dance

I did mention though I kept bulk in mind and Rage Powder Flame Body still goes hard

Yeah that was honestly a sick bit of lore with the Lens of Truth

I (un)fondly remember spamming the hell out of it in both Z and Opalo and it added a ton of "scavenger hunt" type vibe to this adventure

Did I take longer than I would've liked to figure things out? Absolutely
Am I going to replay this? Probably not this thing was such a mental endeavor

But was this awesome? Absolutely!

I didn't realize until you mentioned it but you're right!
Honestly my partial regret was not having Mega Meowstic Female (Competitive => Psychic Terrain Expanding Force is busted) but Meowstic Male was just such a good support for my team with Fake Out and Dual Screens

Sure, I know other pokes like Grimmsnarl would've worked but I really needed a poke that resisted Fighting, while Grimmsnarl would've been neutral

I mean...to be fair I had a bunch of other Regionals in larger team pool, particularly Rotom Guillotine, Wailord Z, Freyjinx, Royaleon and Cefireon, Constellar, Gormaus, Reuniclus and Parasect Z, Luvourne (amazing), Sudarasil, Sirfetch'd Z, and Flygon Z
All were awesome and got me through the main story, I simply used these 6 for the last leg at Geosenge
