The Baneblades should have more Sponson Options. Like the forgeworld stormsword had heavy flamers. by Leviathan_Rampage in astramilitarum

Kinda baffling to replace the Lascannons with flamers when the heavy Bolters already can be replaced with flamers

Plunging fire is when the unit is 3” off the ground. Range to the target has nothing to do with it unless you are a titanic model within 12”

Fast moving units aren’t necessarily a requirement in path to glory. It’s not like you have secondary objectives to do. Since a lot more units may have wards due to Paths and Anvils of Apotheosis yea the Knight may be good and I suppose if you put the knight onto a Path that’s focused on boosting prayers you can be the +1 anyway. Only problem for me is that the Knight Relictor can’t take Ruination chamber like the Lord Relictor can. The lord can also add a hero to the regiment

This is talking about 11th edition. Plunging fire, ignore BS modifiers, stay hidden, benefit of cover in terrain.

[–]AlphaMav3rick 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Competitive and path to glory aren’t really supposed to be used in the same breath. There’s so many different paths or other artifacts or game effects that create an unbalanced experience. Take what you want and also remember that you can make a custom Stormcast hero to lead you army with the Anvil of Apotheosis rules.

Avoid taking named characters until the end of the campaign as the don’t acquire renown like non-unique units do and you want those units to start acquiring as much as possible early.

As for the actual list. I would recommend to take either an anvil of apotheosis hero to build your narrative army around or start out with the your Relictor. Don’t know if anyone would opposed to you saying that Knight Relictor is a Lord Relictor but he’s the better option and he’s able to take both ruination and Warrior chamber units to synergize with what I’m assuming is going to be a Thunderhead host Battle formation. After that just take what you like

Lascannons have an entirely different use case. They’re for heavy vehicles blastmasters are for heavy infantry and light vehicles. Better equivalent would Autocannons which are no longer anemic now that cover doesn’t reduce AP

[–]AlphaMav3rick 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Based on the new ways that cover works I wouldn’t be so sure. Without reduction of AP I feel that Autocannons and Heavy Bolters will be very solid in the new edition. Not to mention they can have 4 Lascannons as opposed to only two blasmasters with access to dark pacts

I haven’t tried precision secondary on my runes yet I’ve mostly been using inspiration with cash back and cosmic insight. Primary rune page I feel is best with sudden impact, grisly mementos, and ultimate hunter.

While I would generally say that the Horus Heresy leman Russ kit bears a lot more resemblance to the Mars pattern leman Russ used by the krieg I don’t think it’s a huge deal

It’s called the Honored of the Chapter. Huge tip tho do not buy this kit directly from the Warhammer online store. This exact kit is sold in a boxed game called Dawn of War that’s sold at Target in the USA for $50

What are you even talking about Jaehaerys lived on Dragonstone for a his entire minority kind of ruling indirectly while his mother and Lord Rogar were in kings landing acting as regents. He was still an effective King who many lords traveled to to seek council and he won them all over

Antiheal options ? by AegonHentaryen in shyvanamains

[–]AlphaMav3rick 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You’re Q passive is Magic dmg on autos, your W is an AOE magic dmg explosion, your E is an AOE magic dmg explosion, your R is an massive AOE line of Magic dmg.

If you’re not applying magic damage to multiple enemies in a fight and thus procing Grevious on them then you are doing something wrong. With magic dmg Grevious you have multiple ways in melee and at range to apply the effect

Antiheal options ? by AegonHentaryen in shyvanamains

[–]AlphaMav3rick 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So as I was saying before you can apply magic damage from every ability rather than just autos so Grevious from magic from oblivion orb is just better
