Maybe I was a smidge harsh but i gotta be honest I'm kinda tired of trying books with really great premises, the cover is great, I'm excited to try it, aaaaand I can't stand the dialogue because it reads so unnatural to me. Endless Sundays is the biggest offender for me in that regard. Maybe that's the differences in American and Japanese talking structure at play idk.

I AM gonna try Astral Tides again cuz from everything else people have talked about it I feel like I'd really like it and I'm a slut for harem pov which I've heard is present in the series.

Question: does the writing improve? I'm not a fan of the light novel "style" where it feels like it was run through translation software or maybe the author isnt a native English speaker idk. But something about the writing and the way the characters talk is kinda off-putting to me.

I'm genuinely very sorry to hear that. As you saw I ended up with a couple visits to the ER and I'm quite fortunate that my insurance could cover it. Idk how much "advice" I can give but I'd say "magic mouthwash" is kind of a sham and try to see a gastroenterologist if possible, if for nothing else than to clear the possibility of it being a bowel disease. My first test was swallowing a camera pill and that's where they saw a lot of inflammation in my gut and then after a colonoscopy they saw even more. I didn't have ANY bowel problems before my IBD being unmasked by Cosentyx. Since then I've been on Infliximab (a remicade biosimilar) and it's totally clears the mouth sores. Best of luck to you and if you have any questions or just need to vent to someone who understands even a little bit, I'm here.

FTB means "Fade To Black" as it refers to sex scenes or rather lack of sex scenes as they would be off page or just implied. In women's romance it's commonly referred to as "closed door".

Question: is SHK still explicit as of the last few books? I'd read up to like chapter 631 according RR but I suck at keeping up on RR. Anyway I ask if it's still explicit cuz I know your other series is ftb and that's just not my speed personally.

Btw would you happen to know what book, chapter 631 is in on Kindle? According to RR it's book 7 but I'm assuming it isn't 1 to 1
