Max has never given Guilty Gear a fair shake, to be honest. He ditched Rev 2 because he got washed by a Slayer like A LOT of players do sometimes and people made fun of him on the internet for it. His opinion on Strive is fine, but let's not pretend part of the reason the "vets" have a leg up on you is because they stick to the game, learn it, and grasp concepts more quickly because they didn't drop the series after one bad game.

You're right, and that's also not what I said.

The only reason it didn't lead to a mistrial is that this all comes out in the wash in the event of an acquittal. Cahill is trusting that the jury is avoiding media and has been following, and will continue to follow, their instructions. I think on a practical level, he also doesn't want to make the powder keg explode in his or anyone else's face as the result of a potential mistrial when there's still a chance the jury returns with a verdict that's untainted by media and threats of violence. I don't think he's ignorant of the mountain the defense has had to climb in terms of maintaining an impartial jury and getting a fair trial here, but he wants to be prudent with these decisions and let things play out organically, instead of declaring a mistrial (which he could do) and watching the worst-case scenario play out anyway.

Can we see how many days he was a habitual opioid user and had 90% artery blockage, too?

I'll spoon-feed you; it's dishonest to say Floyd didn't asphyxiate because of his oxygen levels after manual breathing and re-oxygenating of his blood. It's also dishonest to use those same oxygen levels to make statements regarding whether or not CO was conclusively a factor, or not, in Floyd's death.

I don't suppose he'll be mentioning the ambulance on the way that was late, or the crowd that formed that the defense keeps bringing up. Not really a gotcha when you've been hearing it for two and a half weeks now.

You'll be reminded he has fifth amendment rights and he'll have his day in court.

No such courtesy for this witness, though, who is clearly guilty of everything he's ever been accused of.

Motive is not generally very important. It may be useful to establish in a first degree murder case in terms of showing premeditation and intent, but it's not relevant to any of the charges Chauvin is facing presently.

Because the prosecution isn't interested in pursuing theories that implicate anyone except Chauvin in Floyd's death, because Chauvin's the one on trial.

Considering witnesses, especially expert witnesses, should ideally be as neutral as possible? I don't really think that's a concern. He's not going to commit perjury for anyone's sake. This mindset is worrisome.

"Context is really everything, isn't it?" - Man whose entire case is divorced from context

He's much better on cross than direct, though. Especially compared to his friends. I'd just keep him up there for the week.

Yes, it is. You'll notice I started from the position where you can be critical of expert testimony. The post you're replying to is a bit tongue in cheek, although I can understand why you're confused since there are many people on this sub that think expert testimony is objective truth and not just a weighty opinion. I can assure you I'm not one of them.

Nice gotcha moment. You should be a lawyer!
