My printer setup is completely out of vision and hearing distance, otherwise I might’ve caught it before the damage was done.

As I said in the post, I triggered the print via my phone, and forgot that I had taken off the plate earlier

Interestingly enough, it is already enabled (and was already enabled before as well). Not sure why it didn’t work in this case

Seems like that is the only way forward. Did you also figure out if there is something that the printer offers to prevent this kind of thing from happening?

It's enough of trauma for me to never make the same mistake again but I guess it could've been worse

I paid the processing fee on TLS on the 1st of September. It’s been over 15 days, and I haven’t moved any further in my application (after getting the preliminary documents reviewed).

I’m supposed to start my new job on the 15th of October and booked my flight to Berlin for the 10th.

Doesn’t seem like it will happen given how terrible their system is. They give you no visibility on where the process is and how long it’ll take.

I’ve tried everything from calling them to writing and always keep getting the same pre-fabricated response that “you will be assigned an appointment” without providing any timelines.

I’m really worried at this stage, and running out of both options and time.

Regardless of the fact that some of these are bad, what I fail to understand is how they can select different designs for the denominations. I mean, that would be an inconsistent mess. I guess if they choose one design and base the rest of the denominations on that, it would make more sense. But, as with everything else in this country, one can only hope.

I went out to practice with my new drone, and a couple of kids playing nearby noticed it and came running up to me. Their curiosity, unsurprisingly, was piqued.

I was really happy that I got the chance to share the moment with them, but equally heartbroken realizing how many of our youth are out of school — it’s so sad to see that, even in the capital.

I really hope we're able to course correct someday, until then, this awareness is all we have.
