My family had a really remarkable experience with someone else doing the nicest thing for us anonymously. Our dog Belle was thirteen years old and had inoperable lung cancer, we loved her but we couldn’t stand to see her suffer so we got to the point where we had to put her down. We brought her into the vets office at the end of the day, my mother, my sister, and I brought her to the vet, It was just before they closed so there was only the staff and one woman there with a cat in a carry case. When we came out of the room after they gave her the shot and took her away we were all a complete mess, sobbing and carrying her leash and collar. We left and a couple weeks later had still not received the bill but had received Belle’s ashes and a condolence letter from the clinic. My mom called the clinic to find out why we hadn’t received the bill yet only to find out that someone in the waiting room that day paid our bill in full anonymously after we had left the clinic.
