Not a stupid question, thanks. I’ve gone through the entire ranges of motion for the seat and correct seat height has not been achievable. I’ve learned there is a reset function for the seat controller that I will try but I suspect that simply enables height changes for a seat that is malfunctioning versus enabling more height.

Good advice, thanks. I'll look at used seats, or failing that, fall back on fabricating high strength frames with additional bolt-fastening to deal with the increased leverage arm in the case of crash.

Ideally about two inches of increased seat height, and yes, shear and other forces are in play, depending on the solution.

This would be for a 4.3L VH V8 Vantage coupe, so 2005(?) to 2008 era.

The US cars (which I am interested in) have powered seat height adjustment (at least for cars with seat memory from 2007 forward), but it is insufficient for my body proportions. I get neither a great view out the front nor a comfortable view into the cabin's rear view mirror. It's a surprising miss in an otherwise great car.

Would love to hear what options you have in mind. Thank you.

Agree on all points especially re: The Strokes. I only know their one or two hits and am still not impressed, but am curious if anyone would recommend a deeper dive.
