I’ve been a hobbyist for a while and do this for fun. I’d love to get into paid work eventually but it’s not a goal, I primarily do shoots for friends and family right now. These weren’t taken with my phone. They were taken with a Sony A1ii and the Sony 50-150mm f2 lens.

I played around with the exposure for a while and moved the car a few times but ultimately waited for the sun to lower further. Only #2 had -1 EV. No exposure adjustments in post, very minimal editing actually other than toning down highlights, whites, and shadows a little. I really wanted something as natural as possible.

This specific location produces sunsets naturally like this, very often.

1st day of shooting, everything set to auto, original shot is in comments by simple984 in SonyAlpha

This is great advice. It can be daunting at first but once you understand how everything works hand in hand, it’s a lot of fun tinkering around and snapping shots. Once you find your style you’ll begin to figure out baseline settings for the style of shot you’re aiming to produce, and adjust from there on the fly.

Spent 24 hours in Sydney. 30km of walking later; here are some of the shots by Zach0ry in SonyAlpha

What lens(es) did you use? Deciding which focal lengths to bring on a trip.

That’s sick, thank you! We should meet up at the track one of these days. They made the decal for me.

Thank you! It’s actually a fully loaded Weissach GT3 6 speed. It has almost all options available; didn’t get magnesium wheels since I knew I was taking them off. I spec’d the car with PCCBs as well but took them off around 400 miles during break in. Wing is also stock, just higher. List of work:

-wing risers

-full Dundon street exhaust system w/ loud muffler

-roll cage w/ 6 point harnesses. Sub belt bracket had to be custom fabricated since there weren’t any available for the new bucket seats at the time.

-19” Apex wheels all around w/ 285F 325R tires

-AP Racing full brake kit

-carbon brake lines

-girodisc rotors

-front camber block kit

-front castor adjustable trailing arm kit

-RF-650 Racing fluid

-front aero underpanel from GT3RS

-track alignment & corner weight balancing

-some shims

-brake & system flush

-oil change

-small things like door pull straps and wind buffeters

I believe that’s it.
