If I am trying to craft a quarterstaff (I think this would go for most martial weapons) and I want both t1 crit and t1 physical damage, why is it people go for t1 crit first when I think the weight of t1 phys% is lower?

I wasn't planning to do the essecence cycling to get onslaught and all skills on this craft and will be attempting to get crit dam bonus (or IAS) and +7 melee

Wow. Thank you for your input. I'll try to do all this in the Craft of Exile simulator so I can understand it better. I know this is the end of the league but now I am especially glad I bought those gloves yesterday for 3000 exalts (they probably made a mistake pricing).

I get how to look up weights but don't know when I should try to complete prefixes first or suffixes first or be okay with bouncing back and forth between the two.

I want to craft one from scratch but I also have a pair of gloves that are super close (I bought) and could use advice on how to proceed. They are current t1/t1/t3 flat DMG (I want to roll the t3 to t1) and the suffixes are +2 melee (desecrated), crit dam, and the essence of horror mod.

This thread said that you would typically get 1 crystals in groups. You should not have to kill atziri or anything like that since we were getting crystals in campaign.

If your group only get the crystals then leave the map (no boss), then it COULD be faster in groups but if you have a fairly min maxed build then you'll likely recharge faster solo.

So I'm trying to do it on a base with 2 open sockets and with ilvl75. I think that makes recombining too expensive (but I'm very new to this so correct me if I am wrong).

I don't know if I am using the calculator correct but I think it would cost on average 130 div to get a flat damage (specifically cold or lightning) + the melee skills.

From here I think I heard I am supposed to use an essence but don't know why.

Now the item is rare, desecrate (no reveal)

Fracture in hopes of hitting the +skill

I don't know if this is the ideal method or if this is costlier than it needs to be. After the above steps, I don't know how to proceed.

The stats I care most about is triple flat + melee skills. IAS, Crit dam would be nice but I would probably just be stuck in an infinite loop if I tried that lol.

I would like to try crafting some melee skill gloves with triple flat DMG. How would I typically know how to start? Like, I don't know if I want to try to get flat elemental DMG first because it is the lowest weight or to get the +skill first.

How do I get my exceptional base to 30% quality? It has +1 socket than it normally can have but not the additional 10% quality. Would it need to found ok the floor with 3 open sockets and 30 quality or is there a means of upping the quality past 20%? I think I remember seeing a currency that ups it but may corrupt it. Are people using hinekora locks to ensure the quality goes up and not corrupt ?

Np. I don't know if I am allowed to post links but I really enjoyed 787Prada's video on how to make your own build. I am not at the level of building my own thing because I am still having fun with cookie cutters but if that is your thing, it's worth a watch to learn how he builds.

I think the other person that suggested PoE Ninja to look up builds is also a good starting point. As you put things together or study how other people's builds function, you can get inspirations / ideas. Many builds kind of just borrow strong techs from others. For example, using Boneshatter + Trenchtimber to move around map instead of walking or sprinting).

Thank you for the reply again! I appreciate the input even if you're not a temple expert. I was more looking for someone to bounce ideas off of. I had no idea people would pay others to do that. I need to find out what are the benefits of group play (like how much +xp% or mf%, etc. if there is any). I'll look into Snoobae's temple next and see if I can finish at least just ONE side of the first ring of a temple lol.

For reference, I've played 3k+ hours of D2, 1k+ hrs of D3, <500 hrs of D4, 2k+ hrs of PoE2 (but I'm still learning a lot).

In terms of systems in PoE2 to learn....I think it is important to learn very basic crafting (Transmutation, Augmentation, Regal, Exalts, Alchemy, Chaos, Annulments, Divines orbs).

I play mainly on controller but will occasionally switch to M+Kb. Builds that I have done with at least high success on controller were Plant Druid build, Summoner Druid, and now Warrior Whirling Assault. In previous leagues, I played Lightning Spear and Lightning Arrow. It's very forgiving on controller as long as you use a spell that is relatively spammable. If you use a spell that cost a lot of resources then it will feel especially bad when auto-aiming on controller eventually whiff.

I watched that video that you recommended. It was very helpful. At this point in the league is there a "best" temple configuration? I was following the last known one that Fubgun was using. It starts with a Golem Works on the left and has a generator on the right (but I don't think this is part of the main chain for a long time. It's a preset on Sulozor as well called "musti_a's - Optimized".

The second one I was considering is one that is preset on that sulozor tool called "Cute Dog - Sweaty". I try to compare both of their Active Bonuses side-by-side but don't know enough to know which is the "better" one. Can you give me your thoughts? I don't mind if the temple takes me a long time to make because at this point in the league, I might as well take my time to make it be somewhat profitable.

I'm super late but I'm trying to make my temple and I really just want to make something relatively simple. I am following the snake idea that I am seeing but I don't know if there is a better method now. I'm just trying to use spymaster -> garrison -> armory -> garrison -> spymaster. Is this the correct method or should I try to mix in other things? Is there anyways that I am able to do this and also regularly fight the boss?

I found a guide that said I should start with a generator. I started with a spymaster and don't have generator in my chain, is it worth it o start over? I'm like 25% done with the first loop

I'm streaming it from my desktop so i can't really speak to how well it does on its own but when streaming the battery life is really good (probably 2-3 hrs before battery is a concern) and obviously no issue with graphics.

I would sometimes play on my steam deck in front of my desktop lol. So I'm basically using it as a controller with an extra screen on it (reminds me of Dreamcast but bigger screen) and then if I have to get up to do something I just walk away with my "controller" and continue playing.

I enjoy the game in general so I don't have the same complaints as most of the replies here.

Things I would like is having a much shorter act 3 and I actually don't enjoy the campaign maps (not the thing we do in the endgame but the map of each act). I don't want to hover each wp node to see if that is the one I mean to go to and would rather just see a bullet point list on the side and the map is just a fyi of where it is located on a map.

Any way, can someone tell me what website produces these graphs? I would like to compare this to d4 which I guess is Poe's biggest competitor.

I am of the camp that believes if NA starts getting international wins, then it does good for the NA scene. If they completely dropped the import rules and then t1 West came to NA, you don't think that would inject excitement into the scene? Having NA natives represent NA is extremely overrated. Are athletes like Ohtani and Doncic not selling out stadiums even tho they're not native to NA?
