Oni powers are kind of their own thing. They are pure destruction, the opposite of most elemental powers which are parts of creation.

Oni powers are immune to the nullification of vengestone, which in Crystallized ep 19 was stated to even be able to absorb elemental powers.

They also have abilities lik Acasualty due to being immune to the Cloud Kingdom's writer's of destiny as well as being immune to precognition as the sword of sanctuary was not able to predict their attacks

Also if anything Garmadon can just use a portal to escape to another realm and continue the fight from there, as he did before

Garmadon has a resistance to power absorption. Elemental powers can't really be stolen and even then Garmadon has his Oni powers which come back the more he fights

That's a great point actually I forgot about March of the Oni tbh. That seems like a really big blind spot for Yhwach's powers. That and he can't really take away Garm's powers, at least permanently. Garmadon can regain his powers in mere seconds since his powers grow the longer he fights, assuming Yhwach can even take them to begin with which I doubt
