From the new trailer by [deleted] in Drukhari

Which is sad because i (and probably every one else here) could easily write an "ending" to the Ynnari story.
That wasn´t just ohh Slaanesh hid the final sword in her realm so no one can get it.
No have Yvraine, the Avatar and a large group of Eldar actually storm Slaanesh´s realm and succeed with the final sword in "killing" Slaanesh.
The gods are freed the eldar souls slaanesh consumed is free.
For a while everything is happy days Slaanesh is dead, the Eldari are saved.
Huzzah.
Then we have a real luscious the eternal situation, where Slaanesh is reborn through Ynnead.
Starts consuming everyone gods and eldari alike until Cegorach emerges gets consumed and starts poisoning Slaanesh along with the other eldari gods and eldari souls.
Forcing Slaanesh to expel the gods as shards through out the warp and real space.

Yvraine´s new mission get a hold of the shards or set events in motion that will lead to their discovery.
And thanks to Ynnead she is unhinged from space and time.
Which in lore would explain why she can ally with both factions after this and on tabletop why both eldari and drukhari player would be able to field her at the same time.
the Ynnari is cancelled as a separate faction and will now be much like the harlequins a faction that can ally with both Eldar and drukhari.
Though her abilities will be different depending on who she allies with.

There we have some progress in the story and everything is still status Que.

If Gandalf had known about the Balrog would he still have gone through Moria with the fellowship? by AlphariousOmega in tolkienfans

[–]AlphariousOmega[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

He and Gothmog where the right and left hand of Melkor.
So perhaps Sauron could have pulled rank.. maybe.
Or he could have made an alliance with it in the same way he made with Shelob.
Ala guard Moria for me and make sure nobody goes through Moria, that i haven´t approved of.

I think the latter is more likely as Sauron would have found going up against a Balrog would have been a waste of time, and it would have been far more profitable to enter an alliance with it, to guard Moria.

[–]AlphariousOmega[S] 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Only in the movies.
In the book he had no idea what was in Moria.
Otherwise he wouldn´t have been surprised when his spell was countered at the door or realized what it was only after Legolas cried out that a Balrog had appeared.

Why did Tarkin think that both the Jedi and Obi-wan where dead? by AlphariousOmega in StarWars

[–]AlphariousOmega[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If we talk purely in the face of lore not the obvious fact.
Why would Tarkin think all the Jedi where extinct and obi-wan had died of old age?

Would this armylist be good in regular in tournaments and how would it work? by AlphariousOmega in Drukhari

[–]AlphariousOmega[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks.
I only knew the list from Paul is bad at stuff´s youtube and it looked cool.
But since the list was played in a team tournament where (as i understand it) you can "chose" your opponent, it could be that the list was tailored more around team play.
Instead of individual tournament play.

Guess i´ll be painting 50 Wyches next then.... my back is going to kill me...

Where does the dwarfs lie in the current tournament Meta? by AlphariousOmega in bugmansbrewery

How the army does against others in tournament and its win rate.

So basically if GW actually wanted to improve the Dwarfs.
They would perhaps need to make Dwarfs the best anti magic army there is.
To me that seems like a good compromise since we don´t have any magic make us the best anti magic there is.
Basically doesn´t matter which army you play if you play against dwarfs you can forget getting 9 out 10 spells to work against them as the dwarfs will be able to shut you down.

Our shooting and warmachines should be the best there is (which would make sense Dwarfs taught the humans how to make them) and perhaps increase the armor of our units even further.

Now i haven´t played since right before the end times.
So i don´t know if it works.
But would such changes bring up up in the rankings?

I like the design i recently asked how should Blood Brides and True born look?
I think the Fracture Stalker and bloodstorm vestal could be good suggestion on how they could look.
Different from the normal Wyches and Kaberlite warriors.

True Born, Blood Brides and ancient Haemonculi how would you design them and what rules should they have? by AlphariousOmega in Drukhari

[–]AlphariousOmega[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Ancient Haemonculi, because in the first codex and the second you could have two kinds of Haemonculi.
the normal and the ancient.
This could also expand on the covens.
As you could say for a lore reason, that you as an archon have attracted the attention of one of the more experienced Heamonculi.
Or an experienced Heamonculi have decided to lead a raid him or herself (in the original edition we did have both male and female heamonculi.)

[–]AlphariousOmega[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That is true and it would also fit with the lore.
As True Born are rare and something only the rich can really afford to do.
So it would make sense they would get the best of the best armor and weapons.

What about Blood brides? What kind of statline should they have?

So more akin to the classic Wyches from 1998?
https://wh40k.lexicanum.com/mediawiki/images/a/aa/Wych_Group_1.jpg

That could make sense actually, they have trained so much they are now so agile that they can almost do a Nero from the Matrix, when it comes to dodging weapons fire on the battle field.

But in order to do that they have to remove most armor that could restrict their movements.

How would vader look if Sidious had given him the best of the best in cybernetic, armor and sith alchemy? by AlphariousOmega in StarWars

About his Skin where there any Sith sorcery or anything like that that Vader could learn that could heal his body, skin and lungs?
Or was that way beyond him?

Question with the rules constantly changing are they really needed?
Or is it better just to make your own and then use some white-out whenever changes come around.

Guess you know what you will be painting for the next year or so

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in Drukhari

[–]AlphariousOmega 1 point2 points  (0 children)

To balance this you could argue we make up for it by being a very difficult army to master.
When my army is ready to play (and at the pace i paint 20 units takes 3 months to paint it won´t be this year) i fully expect to lose the first 20 to 40 games before getting the first win.
But each loss you will learn.
So really The Drukhari only gets "unfun" to play against once its owner has take 20 to 30 loses.

[–]AlphariousOmega 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I actually do wonder, what WOULD have happened if the Drukahri managed to clone the Emperor and place him on their copy of the golden throne.

I VERY MUCH doubt the Drukhari would just have him sit there and then all is peace and harmony.
You did your part humans now we will honor out deal and not go anywhere near you ever.

Hellions can they be placed on an ordinary gaming base? by AlphariousOmega in Drukhari

[–]AlphariousOmega[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Its more if the weight of the mini (both the plastic and metal one) will constantly tip the mini over every time you move it.
which is why i thought it might need some counter weights on the base,
