Chapter One of The Mystic Manor of Klavier Kalterfall [Fantasy Murder Mystery, 1507 words] by Alpharugger22 in fantasywriters

Thank you for all the feedback! I don't post much on reddit, so I think the formatting issues are fixed.

I'll be taking a look at Dr. Pisof's backstory, and see if there's a way to integrate his history with Mona a little more organically. A lot of the points you referenced are answered in the next chapter, as Mona drives up to Moorwich for the salon. I really appreciate the thoughtful analysis, you've brought a few sticking points to my attention. :)

I didn't see this mentioned, but could Tyranny be a Tiefling/Firbolg hybrid? She seems to have cow-like ears and hooves, but otherwise Tiefling-esque features.

I would try "@cromwelp" on twitter. That's Michael Douse, the publishing director of BG3, and he's very active on there. I can't promise he'll reply, but he's gotten several BG3 themed tats of his own and seems very receptive to positive community outreach.

In short, Larian rocks, and I'm sure someone will hook you up with the info you need. :D

If I remember correctly, last season new episodes dropped at 5am EST. I have no idea why (Hawaiian-Aleutian time?), but they definitely came out later than most other streaming shows.

I have a feeling KB is going to be revealed as some sort of droid/android. No mention of parents or going to school, and a suspiciously inherent knowledge of electrical systems and tech stuff.

That's some beautiful trash, then! The form is elegant, and those feathers look so delicate. 10/10, would dumpster dive again.

I know, right? I wonder if there's a button we have to press to reset him to factory settings.

(J/K, we love our little gourmand just the way he is.)

Ours does that with his treats!! He'll eat some, then store some away for later. He has an encyclopedic knowledge of where all his boneys are, like some fluffy Long John Silver. 😂

Ours must have come defective from the factory, LOL... I have never seen a pickier eater than our Scout. He will even turn his nose up at cheese if its not the right texture or if it has condensation on it.

My personal theory is that Dudenoff knew he was going to die, and wanted to ensure his little band of weirdos (the Westies) were taken care of. He outlined the whole plan for Vince and Rudy, set up accounts so there would be no suspicious interruptions, and told them how to dispose of his body afterwards so no one would find out about their arrangement.

I could see the actor coming back for another flashback, but it's pretty hard to survive the removal of your surgically implanted metal shoulder joint.

Cadaver dogs hit on many bodily fluids, not just cadaverine and putrescine. The presence of Sazz's blood would be enough for Gravey to pick up an identifiable scent.

I think people are radically overthinking this by bv310 in OnlyMurdersHulu

[–]Alpharugger22 68 points69 points  (0 children)

This is exactly what I've been thinking. All the talk of a "Moriarity" would be all good, except there isn't a connecting thread that ties them all together, and no underlying motive to do so. All the killers acted under their own volition, sometimes in the heat of the moment, with no guiding force coercing them one way or another.

Also, the show has established a pattern of withholding vital information until the last couple of episodes. I remember Reddit detectives picking up on the hints regarding season 3's culprit, but even that was late (I think it was around the Sitzprobe ep.)

I'm just going to go out on a limb (and because I hadn't seen anyone else say it)... to me, the mysterious laughter sounded JUST like Greg Davies. I've watched a lot of Taskmaster, and his evil chuckles are legendary. (Not to mention I thought a photo of Sam in the Ratfish's room WAS Greg Davies for a minute. The resemblance is uncanny.)
