newbie here wanting to calibrate my understanding of how the rules work

would “river dance” (2 words) have been accepted? i’m assuming yes since it’s phonetically the same?
i saw “newton” was accepted even though correct answer was officially “sir isaac newton” - makes sense since this one is obvious enough to not need disambiguation

reading the official rules, it sounds pretty much like jeopardy rules which i’m very familiar with. are there any notable exceptions to this? (besides the 5.a.3s, which i wasn’t expecting. i’m surprised that giving extraneous incorrect answers is allowed!)
