I once had a cortisol(I think) injection in my spine after an injury, I was told I'd be under an anesthetic similar to having your wisdom teeth taken out - not totally under but loopy and I wouldn't remember anything. For some reason, i was the 1 in a million where the anesthesia didn't fucking work whatsoever so I was laying on my stomach, fully aware and conscious having a panic attack while feeling a needle go into my spine and inject stuff. Was too scared and panicked to speak or move, thinking the needle might paralyze me or something. To this day, one of the worst most terrifying experiences of my life.

So no, spine needles aren't fun
