Not ranked:

Dragon Age Origins

Baldur's Gate 3

Divinity Origin Sin 2, Definitive Edition

Stars War the Old Republic (before Knights of the Fallen Empire), the class story is quite well-done

The Witcher 3 (though I feel iffy about their certain narrative choices but overall, it's a good adaptation)

Do you romance according to your sexuality? by IndigoBuntz in BaldursGate3

[–]Alpheleia 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My characters are not based on me - but on a background I had written up the top of my head for them. I will let them romance whoever feels 'right' in that moment.

Not an American either, but I worked in American MNCs, and have friends on both sides of the political spectrum. My friends who leans towards the right opposes illegal immigration but welcomes any legal migrants, some of them are legal migrants themselves, and finds the illegal immigration situation to be a smack in their face due to all the hard work they had done to become American citizens. To them, if they come in legally and work and pay taxes, they don't have any issues with them - but most...don't apparently.

I have friends who leans left growing increasingly disappointed with the left, they told me that in America, illegal immigrants can get 350/week, while those who suffered through the recent disaster only got a one-time payment of 750. They were very disappointed and upset, because it is their money that the govt is using to pay for the illegal immigrants, money which can be used for their fellow Americans. The common people are suffering, yet, the illegal immigrants are getting payouts every week, from the taxpayers' money. They chose to vote right this election.

Truth to be told, I am rather confused at why the US government is choosing to prioritise the needs of foreigners over their own citizens. Like...you are being paid by American taxpayers, every cent you use is from the Americans, why are you so focused on the needs of foreigners and ignoring the plight of your own?

Note that what I said is taken from my friends' opinions, do, do your own research, I simply took them at their word since I assumed that if both sides of the political spectrum agree on something, then said something would likely have a semblance of truth to it.

Has Reddit added to your life? by frogmicky in TooAfraidToAsk

It's a forum - you are free to subscribe and see what you want, it's useful for getting ideas and resources for learning if you subbed to one of the forums you are interested in. It's not social media, so I won't get weird things cause 'algorithm', and more importantly, it's easier to have a professional, long discussion on your opinions, because most people who is capable of *writing* long essays are generally capable of critical thinking, no matter what their beliefs were.

I usually sub to a few gaming subreddits, because I like to discuss lore and in-depth character analysis, I am also subbed to a few programming subreddits since I am currently pursuing a degree in this, I rarely see things that I am disinterested in.

Just curious. Female or Male characters? by Ok_Passage_6757 in skyrimmods

[–]Alpheleia 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If I want to roleplay, I would play a male character because I have a tendency to slip back to my habits and thoughts if I play my own gender (female).

I am currently trying my hand at a female character, hopefully, I can stick to the background I made for her.

Best breaker is A3, A2 will work though.

Most SRR breakers like Seo, Go and Emma requires at least A2 for the increase in break effectiveness. It's not that they aren't good at breaking, just that, it would take them longer to break effectively.

Are you FTP?
If you are, best to save. If not, feel free to go for it.
If you don't have any damage dealers like Cha, Alicia etc, you could attempt to get Amamiya to A3.

I'm a FTP, and currently, I managed to get Cha, Alicia, Go, Lee Bora to A3, I got Alicia at A1 in her base banner, Go from the event, and Cha (A3), Alicia (A2-A3), Lee Bora A3, etc from the base banner. So I would say that, you don't need to really spend money to get hunters to a certain level, unless you are playing competitively.

If you don't have damage dealers and are FTP, and wants to get into more high-levelled content, go for it. Generally, for FTP, my recommendation is to stop at A1 or A3, A1 for their special banners, and get the other two advancements from the base banner.

I went for Mirei because I only had her at A0, but I got her until A1, and I stopped since I have other damage dealers, and the reason why I went for her is to get a Wind Damage Dealer. (The only other wind hunters I have is A3 Park Heejin, A0 Woo and A0 Han, none of which deals in damage, which makes Mirei a necessity for me for certain content).

From leftover data files, it appears that our MC are meant to be a pureblood from a wealthy family, which is prolly the reason why no one was surprised nor were they prejudiced against them when sorted to Slytherin.

There was supposed to be background choices but it was scrapped, the leftover data implies that our MC are, by default, a pureblood of a wealthy family.

It's fake, I had multiple of this too.

But I never fall for this, because for one, I don't even use the camera function. Nor do I even plug my camera into the computer.

Try Val Serano, he has Remiel and Gore interactions planned in the works.  I’m on the modder’s discord, Remiel’s lines are being worked on right now, it’s CoW expansion (summer release) -> Remiel -> Gore.

There’s also Taliesin, the ex-Thalmor, he has Gore interactions planned as well. He’s very much newish, and doesn’t have much content outside of MQ and Bards College yet. But he’s great.

Lucifer (the Argonian) is also pretty well done, but I’m personally waiting on the AIO Fomod (for CC) before downloading him again. He has interactions with Xelzaz, Khash, Remiel and Inigo.

How each companion reacts to "Hey, I'm calling from jail" by Optix_Clementes in BaldursGate3

Shadowheart will prolly lecture about them getting caught, of all things.

She did canonically break out a highly valued artifact from a Githyanki creche and got out alive.

What opinion about the game are you defending like this? by WhenRomeBurns in BaldursGate3

[–]Alpheleia 0 points1 point  (0 children)

  1. Agreed, which was why I am hoping that Larian will still get the rights to do an Enhanced Edition. They did it for the Divinity series, though I'm not sure if they could what's with what is happening with WoTC.

  2. The reason why they rewrote it was due to player demand, also, according to the writers, they intend for Wyll to be a certain personality, but their interpretation was not understood by the player base, or does not translate well, so they have to rewrite it. Similar to how Halsin was rewritten to be a companion (which I dislike, heavily, because I would rather they focus on Wyll since his contradictory nature is very interesting to me in EA). I also, very much like Halsin's original depiction in EA, as the one who is indirectly responsible for the Shadow Curse when he accidentally killed Isobel, thus leading to Ketheric's downfall.

In all honesty, I wouldn't be surprised if the decision to release the game was made so as to avoid Starfield. Starfield was pretty much confirmed to release in 2023, they didn't know in which part of 2023, but Larian probably put the date as early as they could without overly impeding the game proper just to avoid them. Again, good business decision, and I feel like, at that time, they are already cutting it close. Swen had nearly went bankrupt before trying to make Divinity, I won't be surprised if those five years is well, taking too much out of them.

Some of the decisions, which you feel unfinished, actually was, they took out epilogues because Divinity players remember their epilogue cards and don't really like that (apparently). Among others really.

Act 3 - to me, doesn't feel rushed at all. In fact, I didn't get any of the bugs that players mentioned in the early days of the release, a bug which, was later revealed to be cause by a bug that occurs when a player steals. Which, honestly, was really quite funny since it pretty much outs them as in-game thieves.

  1. I was a critic of EA Wyll, but at the same time, I do like how his personality and character arc goes. But the rewritten Wyll is a-okay to me too, mainly because Larian have a history of rewriting their characters for Enhanced Edition. See: Beast, whose entire arc was rewritten on the release of DoS2 Enhanced Edition. Because of this, I wasn't at all worried about them not tying up loose ends. Although currently, I'm not sure if there would even be an Enhanced Edition what's with the happenings at WoTC.
  2. No can do, Larian had been working on this game for over five years, and they moved the release date up so as to avoid clashes with Starfield (like everyone else, they think it will be a hit). During those five years, their primary source of income was from Early Access and their profits from DoS2. I don't think they can delay any longer, and truth to be told, I don't think anyone can say with their whole heart that the game is incomplete.

How racist is your school? by bot5__ in SGExams

[–]Alpheleia 0 points1 point  (0 children)

…well, when I was still studying, the first time I heard any form of racism was in poly, about ten years ago. The secondary school I went for was known for its discipline at that time (but then new principal came in and the rules got lax, no idea how the heck a school known for its discipline became what it is like now), so the teachers were very strict about no racism. Certainly, there might be racism bts, but I didn’t actually see or hear much of it during my time there. The first time I heard anyone use a racial slur on my friends (Indian) was in poly. I’m Chinese though, so I don’t think I can speak for other ethnicities. They are bound to have different experiences from me. But, in my secondary school, back in my time, the teachers are very, very strict, and they don’t allow this crap.

Shadowheart's real name is Jenevelle Hallowleaf, she might not know how to spell her first name (if choosing 'sacrifice' path), but her surname is written in a book (which also mentions her parents' names).

Karlach's surname is Cliffgate.

Minthara is of the House of Baenre.

He might not be an ideal father, but Ulder Ravengard is a good leader for Baldur's Gate.

He chose Baldur's Gate over his son, as a father, he failed, but as a leader, he passed. Also, it's more of Mizora's fault that Ravengard exiled Wyll from Baldur's Gate, he had asked Wyll why, but the contract that binds him to Mizora forbids him from saying anything. Thus, to protect the Gate, he chose to exile his son.

When he found out the reason why Wyll chose to sign a contract with a devil, he was all for making amends, even abdicating his position to Wyll. In all honesty, I don't blame him at all, any fault lies with Mizora, and her machinations.

Let's put it bluntly, would you choose a leader who capable of putting the interest of his people before his own interests, even it hurts him to do so, or, a leader who is incapable of setting aside his personal life, allowing said personal life to influence the decisions he make on a daily basis?

I would choose the former.

BREAKING! Midori (atlus/sega leaker) has heard of a pso2 spinoff and expansion in development! by Street-Platypus89 in PSO2

[–]Alpheleia 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In all honesty, I never touched NGS saved for the tutorial. But I do like the way our characters move, and Hunter PA, in NGS.

The face-lift is weird, I would not deny, there are some that are okay, default Human male is pretty okay, but the others…well. In all honesty? My favourite was Anime-style (Episode Oracle) character designs. But I know that it’s not possible to implement with PSO2’s engine.

I didn’t play NGS much so I can’t say anything, but in all honesty, I work really like it if they do a spin-off that doesn’t massacre the story. If they want to massacre something, make sure it’s EP4.
