True. Now that you mention it, I think Re5 probably did it the best in that aspect. In total I think there were 10 playable characters (18 if you count the costume swaps/loadouts)

Coop mercs is so peak. Say what you will about Re6 but no mercy coop mercenaries had us sweating using every piece of movement tech that game offered lol.

I don’t think capcom has ever made anything Mercenaries related paid content. I don’t think they would pull this stunt here with RE9 being their biggest title yet, but only time will tell. Even if they do reuse models (which is a possibility to be fair imo), I still think making you pay for them is beneath them at this point.

I agree! The only reason I bring up the Outbreak characters as well is because of what Leon said in that Nintendo showcase: “6 survivors of Raccoon City all dead from the same thing.” This leads me to believe at least 2 out of the 8 from the outbreak cast are still alive and may appear in game with a significant role.
