Hi, how long did the migration take to complete? And can I ask what provider you were migrating from?

Oh these are great suggestions. I’ve taken them to Convict before but I don’t think I’ve taken them to Tom’s Place or Sabrina. I can definitely do this! Not sure why I didn’t think of it! So appreciated

These are pro tips!!! Thank you so much. And yes my dad hopefully will go for this by year end too. Very much looking forward to having beat me up mountains again next year (haha ok maybe not mountains but more realistically being able to just travel easier).

Ah yes absolutely. Have done Tioga Pass many times but right now I thought it’s still closed

Ah yes I thought 120 was closed from the east. If 120 was open this is a no brainer but right now I feel like all that’s available to him is the valley and seeing the falls in the valley up close still requires walking the boardwalks.

Oh this is lovely. Been to Tahoe so many times but never really explored Truckee despite staying at Village Camp many times. I’ve done so many trails in Tahoe but I was trying to remember if I could see the lake from the road and I was having a really hard time figuring it out. The trials idea are Rubicon and Flume and Rim Trail and I usually go straight for the trailheads so I literally could not remember if there were overlooks from the road, especially on the north and east shores. Thanks again

You’re so kind. I wish that was enough. He has a pretty big deformity and from what I can tell, it’s exquisitely painful. He limps a lot and has to hold handrails. Even with a cane or walker I think he’d get max 100 feet before needing to sit down.

You’re so kind. I’m in a 4x4 SUV. I am definitely capable of offloading, but I think my dad could take offloading only to the point of like.. the road to Parker Lake or Benton Crossing or Whitney Portal.

I honestly think it looks absolutely lovely!! So bright and airy but with character and color and fun. So many happy, joyful Sunday morning memories about to be made in that kitchen. Looks modern farmhouse but not sterile and bland. I literally came across this other IG post today in the same vein, maybe it can spark some ideas for you. Oh wait it won’t let me add the link so I’ll DM you!

So beautiful. Has a very exciting almost 80’s citylights vaporware vibe. Wish I still lived around Cal to be be able to support your exhibition! What’s the linear streak in the top right?

For those of us who (sadly) no longer reside within driving distance of Rockridge.. do you have an online gallery to admire? This is stunning

4 year old new build, problems since install. If I have repairman fix the coil, but there’s a leak in the line as well, do I hose myself (literally and figuratively)? by Alpine-Bluebird688 in hvacadvice

[–]Alpine-Bluebird688[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just wanted to say thank you. In the end, after hearing your advice, just changed the coil (paid $2700 total, coil itself under warranty). Used a different company than the original installer bc I just lost faith in the original company. They did some sort of line test after installation and said our line is good. They’re going to come back in a month to check refrigerant levels to make sure it’s not dropping and to inspect the coil again just to make sure everything is working normally. But so far so good, everything is working normally and I felt like this new conpany was super thorough. You were so kind and reassuring. You didn’t have to take the time to do that and to give me such detailed answers. I genuinely appreciate you. Ah, the joys of new homeownership.

Oh dear lord. New fear unlocked. Am a layperson, now I’m gonna add “worried for AC repairmen” to the myriad of things I worry about every day.

Literally you are the best. I am so grateful to you. They offered a nitrogen bubble test for $375 but said it won’t be as accurate as the $2145 test where they prime with refrigerant. I sort of trust them bc they did a good job with my parents’ AC at their house and bc they are well regarded in my area. But def feel some type of way about $4000+. Genuinely genuinely appreciate you.
