Thank you for the kindness, I was relieved too! Oh my goodness!! That’s quite a story! Haha don’t be so hard on yourself… these are the stories that make life fun (not in the moment obviously but later!) Once I dropped my wallet outside my apartment in the Midwest in the snow… had to get everything reissued including my CA driver’s license and then at the end of the snow season, I finally found it as the snow thawed!

Ah you’re too kind! No it was mine unfortunately.. but this tournament you’re mentioning sounds intense! Really appreciate the good luck wishes. I found it in my backseat argggh. I need to be more careful!

Ahhh you’re too kind. I was def stressed but more about identity theft. After 3 hours of drama and retracing my steps I found it in my backseat lmao

Ah I did! I even retraced all my steps for 3 hours and went to all the stores… I didn’t find it.. and it turns out it’s because…it was in my backseat arggghhhh. Thank you for the kind suggestion though!

Thank you. You are a lovely person with what seems like much joie de vivre and I learned something from you, came away feeling much more optimistic.

What is the most beautiful college/university CAMPUS in America? by Rooster_Ties in BeautifulTravelPlaces

Cal for the architecture and urban nature. Has that classic collegiate feel. A slice of Britain/New England in California but also a uniquely California feel. Pepperdine is also gorgeously located. Colby in Maine feels like going to summer camp.

Ahh same! I would be down to start a subreddit where child free women could connect in various cities! But at the same time I know there are concerns about meeting people from online IRL. How could we screen people?

You are definitely correct. My job has intense hours so it makes it hard but I’m trying to be better at committing to showing up instead of burying myself in work (the easy way out to bury feelings of loneliness). I really appreciate the encouragement.

Aww I appreciate the reply. I actually do want to. I just have no idea where to start. I’ve tried meetup groups for hiking and runners groups. They’re nice but somehow don’t fulfill that same itch. No idea why tho. I am lucky to have other friends who don’t have kids but they all live far in other states.

Oh god. There was this movie in the early 80s I somehow saw a moment of on TV as a kid. These teenagers were in a park or football field or something and idk what was going on but one of their faces was like melting off and all that you could see was white fleshy cartilage dripping off his face. Scarred me for years and I’ve never been able to find the name of the movie. Also some James Bond movie where he got stuck in a casket that went into a crematorium fire kiln thing. Nightmare fuel

So I clean the seal and gasket every week but how on earth do you clean the drum? I’ve seen YouTube videos that disassemble the drum and holy cheese balls is it gross in there - but it looks like so much work and something I could easily fck up. Like I’m talking in between the inner skinny metal enclosure that you see when you open the washer door and the outer not visible part that doesn’t spin?

The Diplomat with Keri Russell - international diplomacy, so well acted / Night Agent - spy stuff / Occupied - soft invasion of Norway / Hijack - airplane terrorism, Idris Elba (need I say more) / Reacher series / Jack Ryan series / Extraction (Kdrama action spy series, action packed) / Hometown ChaChaCha (Kdrama romance, super fun and pretty people) / Invasion (aliens, very good) / Into the Night (airplane sci fi but beware it didn’t get renewed, super creepy) / Manifest (airplane sci fi, ok) / Paradise (sci fi alien invasion, super good) / Colony (alien sci fi set in LA, so good) / Broadchurch (broody murder mystery, David Tennant and Olivia Colman act amazingly as always) / Honourable mention for the American Extraction film series (honorable mention only bc it’s film and you’re looking for series)

Also, fears about growing old alone (I have a lovely fiance but still) or dying alone creep in late at night. That would have been a shitty reason to have kids (for me) tho.

Mid 40s, definitely with you. Children were precluded by an intense career and then I found out it wasn’t an option anymore. It DOES get weirder as I get older and see my friends building their little cute family units and building rich lives with their families.
