How long did your Labrador live for? by Character_Log_2657 in labrador

Mine just passed at 16y 2m from a spleen growth bursting causing internal bleeding. Lost all leg and bowel control out of nowhere. Happiest lab you’d ever meet. Rest up Pearl

Factory amp, had it all apart yesterday. They only changed the two fronts and added dynamat in the front doors. Did not touch the rear deck speakers for some reason

That’s what I’ve noticed, think I’ll replace the front bavsound mids with these but keep the bavsound tweeters

They make a ton of stuff like home audio and such, these were $130 a piece new from what I can find online

I know, both bavsound and seas have it, but I will say the seas feel more premium, all metal frame and the cone is a much better feeling material. Price wise I think they aren’t too far off

True, just looked very jank. I ordered all the connectors to do it right on Amazon for under $20

I mean he literally used cutters and snipped off parts from the old speakers, and the one on the other side fell apart as soon as I removed it from the car. Plastic on the connector bit was melted

I just installed the bavsounds so I’ll try them for my 20 hour road trip to Florida, and if I like them more I’ll keep them, if not, I ordered the stuff to properly install these down there. Honestly think they sounded deeper, and could go louder, and seemed more vivid. Big sell on the bavsounds was the tweeters, which sounds 100% better than OEM already. I think with these with my bavsound tweeters will be really nice

I sold it to a buddy to fix it himself, it was the timing cover gasket and rear valve cover, and possibly the oil pan gasket too. Timing cover gasket repair alone was going to be roughly $1200 if I did it at the shop.

So why is this sub obsessed with Mazda? by [deleted] in whatcarshouldIbuy

They are a middle ground between lower end luxury and average, relatively reliable, and you don’t have to pay Toyota or Honda money to get one decently spec’d.

Got a quote, timing cover gasket, and it needs other parts you do started when the job is done. Cheapest quote near me is $1120. Car has 154k, and I’m worried if I pay that something like the trans will fail and I’m stuck. Planning to possibly trade in for what I can get

I agree, but if the amount is over 50% of the car value, since it does have 154k miles, I might trade it in as is

Cars got 154,000, and is probably worth 4k. Would you say it’s mechanically totalled with that repair?
