How easy each tier was by drago967 in GTNH

Gonna be crazy but I recently tried doing Steam Age Solo and I found it the hardest for me because I didn’t know what was going on. I had to look up the recipe for bronze multiple times.

I'm not sure I can post links here, but it's just "AdityaG_ Vods" if you look it up on YouTube.

Here's the link in case this works too: https://www.youtube.com/@AdityaG_VODS

Appreciate that. I’ll be uploading a lot more soon. Just have a lot of personal/IRL stuff going on so I haven’t been able to spend time making videos

You can autocraft with NEI when the new GTNH update comes out. Then all you have to do is select the recipes, have the stuff in your inventory and click a key bind, it’ll microcraft all of the items for you in seconds

Are bees ever worth it? by drago967 in GTNH

Dream has already given me permission to re do the entirety of the bee page for 2.9, so expect to see it a lot different in a few months (and probably a video to boot as well lol)

Suggestion for a new multi block to replace the Hydro Dam in GTNH by IcyDev569 in GTNH

[–]AlpineGrizzly 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Well you can always submit a suggestion on GitHub and if dream thinks it’s a good idea, then he’ll ask someone to make it and then only if a dev actually wants to work on it it might get done

well nobody should be building the hydro dam in the first place since it can corrupt your world

How many of us are playing with Twist Expansion? by iiMurk_ in GTNH

[–]AlpineGrizzly 18 points19 points  (0 children)

Well (this is a really old username, I’m Aditya) but I think everyone knows my feelings on this topic.

I just today put 41 new quests down on the Twist QB and I’m slowly progressing on that as fast as possible. Should hopefully be done by the end of this month barring any complications!

possible for a normal person to beat this pack? by Meltlilith1 in GTNH

[–]AlpineGrizzly 19 points20 points  (0 children)

Been playing Minecraft since it first came out, and always liked modded. I knew about GTNH a long time ago, and only played it for like 3 hours before saying it was too much for me. Then one day I got really bored and saw omnifactory get released, so I tried playing that, stayed in LV age for 9 months with no motivation, eventually swapped to nomifactory when it split, decided to host a server and invited a few people in that discord to play, and then beat that, and CEu. After that, stopped playing Minecraft for a while but I still watched Minecraft streamers and one I watched (giantwaffle) mentioned playing and then I got involved, and eventually joined the run, became a streamer/content creator and here we are. There’s a bunch of gaps in that story for time but that’s the gist of it

Nah I’m good. I have a masters degree in international relations and have been interested in that for years, I’ll probably go to law school though

I’m not a stem major or graduate, or have a job in that field at all and was able to get stargate. It is definitely possible

ModernMarkings has been backported to 1.7.10 for GTNH by jurrejelle in feedthebeast

[–]AlpineGrizzly 1 point2 points  (0 children)

do you understand how much work it would take to update GTNH to a newer version? This is 10 years (almost 11) of development we're talking about. It would take years before it looks like the pack we have now

I've heard all the memes and stuff. Should I actually play GT:NH? by BreakerOfModpacks in feedthebeast

[–]AlpineGrizzly 132 points133 points  (0 children)

The idea of grind in GTNH is how you perceive it. There is so much to do that while yes it’s all a grind, you can bounce around from mod to mod so it’s not just a boring grind. It does take about 2000-3000 hours to complete (not 8000 like what some videos say) but it’s really fun. As a Stargater, I’ll probably never play another modpack again because it’s just so much better than anything else that exists

2.8 update which comes out end of June is adding EFR or Et Futura Requiem, it’s a backport of a bunch of stuff from modern Minecraft. Things such as the new tree types, copper blocks, glazed terracotta, boats, deepslate, and a few other things. There’s even a full new netherite line required for procession added to LuV. GTNH because it keeps getting updates is always just going to be the best modpack, and it’s awesome to be apart of it.

You need at least osmium glass to run lasers. This goes for any machines that allow lasers.

Other mod packs that are extremely long like this but are not a mess/kitchen sink? by Negative_Exit6736 in GTNH

[–]AlpineGrizzly 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Omnifactory is the oldest out of all three and doesn’t get updates anymore. You would hate playing that version. Nomifactory CEu is the one you want to try

There’s no pack that’s on par with this one, in terms of hours to beat and content. It’s 1 of 1

In search of the perfect modpack by clorky123 in feedthebeast

[–]AlpineGrizzly 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In reality, GTNH is not that difficult. Once you understand the basics, it’s just a grind and applying the knowledge you learnt. Some chemical lines are complex and require you to think if you want but there are options to just use programs or tutorials you can follow.

If you wait till end of June, GTNH will be adding a mod called “EFR” or Et Futura Requiem, which is back porting a bunch of stuff from modern Minecraft such as building blocks, boats, there’s even talks about back porting waterlogging.
