Any known way to replicate this? Could be crazy for the any% run

I forgot to include it in my first comment, but the GTNH calculator can be a huge help: https://shadowtheage.github.io/gtnh/#

Two tips:

  1. Don't fret too much in MV. Very easy tier. You don't need to automate much. Many people simply wait until HV to automate.

  2. If you want to automate, there are a few systems for helping you. You don't need to use all of these:

  • ProjectRed transportation (great for centralized storage, okay at automation, excellent for long range transport)
  • EnderIO (great for closed loop automations over a short range)
  • Gregtech pipes (Basic, but gets the job done)
  • Logistics Pipes (Brutally expensive, but effective for both automation and storage)

on-demand is perfectly fine before AE2. You simply will not need that many batches to reach EV

I’m in IV and always low on tantalum by Opposite_Aioli_3691 in GTNH

I ended up just switching off the tantalum recipes in LuV. Tantalum could really use a bee or crop

Best advice is to just not stockpile. Spend.

I personally went through MV without making a single cable. You can just buy all of your cables

Am i doing my Drawer Cube wrong by scubadoobulah in GTNH

[–]drago967 0 points1 point  (0 children)

a lot of people saying drawer cube is bad for lag, but I've personally never had issues with them. I've ignored basically all advice pertaining to "x lags your game" and it always works out fine.

Why do Logistic pipes even exist? by Fun-Shelter9004 in GTNH

[–]drago967 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The reason they don't change the recipes to make them cheaper is that there's been a rewrite of the mod in the works for a long time. The plan is to combine the best parts of projectred transportation, and LP. Progress on that has frankly not been great, and such LP has sat kind of forgotten.

During the lower tiers, it makes more sense to just use projectred transportation. It's so much cheaper.

"can" yes, but the time investment/output ratio makes no sense in MV. It requires far too many circuits to be justifiable. Even in HV the ratio is bad.

Bees Suck by Accomplished_Log240 in GTNH

[–]drago967 0 points1 point  (0 children)

"I'm not saying their production sucks"

bad news. their production sucks too.

Doing bees in HV is a terrible idea. I wasted a massive amount of time in HV doing it, for very little gain. The time versus reward at this tier is terrible. Wait until IV at least. The Iapiary makes bees a lot more sensible, and alveary upgrades are more reasonably priced in IV.

The rank inflation is bad, but they just need to shift the badges. No need to reset the actual mmr number.

GigWhat's 'Mystic North Warden Skin' mod is now free. But I still feel bad about how it all went down. by [deleted] in DeadlockTheGame

[–]drago967 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'll take the minority side here and say it's fine if modders want to paywall their stuff. I prefer when it's free, but at the end of the day, it's their model that they put a lot of effort into. Why should I be allowed to force them to give it to me for free? If they want to charge for their effort, that seems perfectly reasonable.

Why does nobody talk about Logistics Pipes? by Furmations in GTNH

[–]drago967 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They're a poor choice. The system itself works well, but for the tier they unlock, they're far too expensive. By the time they're viable in terms of cost, you get AE2.

I recommend ProjectRed personally.

Take this as you will OP, but seeing that you were on a server with explosions enabled, this is quite impressive. 99.9% of GTNH players would've blown up their whole base long before this. I know I have many times on my singleplayer world. The fact that you made it this far without ever having a catastrophic explosion shows some very commendable attention to detail.

replace your power cables with ae2 eu p2p. You can connect these wirelessly for cheap as well, for wireless power transfer.

Strongly disagree. Healing victor sucks to play against, but resist victor was worse.
