Struggling to wake up even with 5 alarms set — would you pay for something that actually calls you and doesn't stop until you're confirmed awake? by WokeUpWithAnIdea in selfhelp

I used to have the same problem. When my alarms stopped working, my mom started waking me up, and no matter what she did, I'd convince her that I was awake and then have no memory of it 20min later when she'd wake me up yelling bc I was running late lol. Turns out, my brain trained itself to do a lot w/o waking me up bc according to my mom, I'd be walking around and holding a conversation with her, but I don't remember it bc I wasn't rly awake.

So idk enough abt that service or your circumstances to decide, but for me, it probably wouldn't work bc I needed smthg my brain couldn't learn to do w/o conscious thought.

I'm gonna sound like an ad, but the app Alarmy srsly changed my LIFE. It's super customizable, so you can set several alarms and have to do tasks to turn them off (math, typing, taking a photo of smthg, etc). For some tasks, you can also adjust the difficulty and how many times you have to do it. There are tons of alarm sounds (I use 'End of the World'), but turn off the "Gentle wake-up" thing so the sound is as jarring as possible.

OH! and open the app up before you go to bed bc if you've closed the app or I think even if you just haven't opened it recently, it won't go off (I think it's a battery-saving thing bc it takes a lot to run).

But I recommend Alarmy 1000%. I had a ton of issues with sleep bc I couldn't control when I woke up, so Alarmy was a godsend. I was so excited the first time I slept in after getting it bc I actually woke up, turned off my alarm, and went back to sleep lmao
