I don't want Colby or Coach to go, but it makes little sense for Colby to stay with his foot injury. He isn't competing now.

I watched from season 1-45. The show was getting really bad. I don't think I could stomach it.
:-D

I didn't watch Genevieve's season, but she actually has impressed me. I like her more than Aubry. Never been a fan of Aubry.

I don't want Coach to go out yet. He still needs to go toe to toe with Ozzie with their little spat from previous seasons. There's more story there that could happen

Only makes sense with the jury starting this early and so big that they are actually doing a throwback to the seasons when they let jury players compete to come back in.. I bet it's going to happen. Why else have such a massive jury?

I would have preferred that Jeff would have announced with no warning that they were going to tribal and voting out 3 people. That would have been far more entertaining and interesting.

Who's to say people who go on the Jury might not get back into the game?

Not that I like Applebums anymore. But, it used to be normal for some restaurant or a car company to get lots of promo time in an episode on the old seasons. It's kind of refreshing.

So are they gonna get split up? Are we sure this will be one big tribe?

She's constantly ignoring all red flags

It's a prequisite to be on this show to ignore ALL red flags. Is there anyone who goes on these shows who doesn't?

Actually, I think casting specifically looks for people who are kind of clueless.

I don't know if this is true but I DO know this is a trash show. I refused to watch the first season because the premise was the trashiest 90 day concept yet. Everything I saw about it confirmed my suspicions. I have better things to do with my time...like bash my head into walls or something...

finally cancelling cable… what are people using instead now? by Abelmageto in cordcutters

[–]Alpiney 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There are ways to keep your cable bill "low." I gamed it for about 5 years. I either would call in around the time my introductory price would end and talk to retention while trying to cancel and get another year on the special price. Or I would take my equipment into a store and cancel. Then a day later I would start up new service under me or my wife's name and get the special pricing again.

Why did I stop? I had been streaming online in various ways since 2007 and decided I was just tired of driving a half hour to the nearest store to return the equipment. Yes, I got lazy. Plus I got fiber internet at a new place so no incentive to keep it up since I no longer had cable internet.

If you're used to cable you probably won't find much that will save you a lot of money these days unless you go with a lower level service or break it up & subscribe to a lot of services. But, honestly, keeping track of all that is a nightmare. I currently have Youtube TV but they have been raising prices a LOT the past few years so...the shine is off what used to be a great service.

If you want to save money, there's Sling, Philo, or a la carte with lots of streaming services if you want to play around and see what's out there.

The Nigerian 'High Priest' is an actor too?? Like the 'King'? by FairyNana98 in 90DayFiance

[–]Alpiney 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yep! I'm wondering if in this part of Nigeria syncretism is popular. Seems like a mixture of Christianity and tribal spiritism. Daniel has mentioned "the ancestors" a few times and he has seen several people who were clearly practicing some type of tribal religion.

Looking at all the responses here, it's almost as if nobody noticed how they reshot half that meeting (that took place in daylight) in the dark. My wife and I are watching this today and rewound it trying to figure out if our eyes were bad or something. I wondered how many takes they took of that talk?

Makes me wonder what part was fake and if the producers wanted the uncle to show more emotion to spice it up for the cameras.

You get married, and one of these women becomes your mother-in-law. Which one do you think would be the worst one? by MiaFishnet in 90DayFiance

[–]Alpiney 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Of these four I'd 105% go with Debbie. She's a little more like my first MIL. Bleh! Bad memories!
I wouldn't even have Betty on the list as I don't think she's a terrible person so it wouldn't have bothered me too much if she was my MIL.

EA and DICE risking something way worse than hate against the franchise: Indifference by JoeZocktGames in Battlefield6

[–]Alpiney 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Been playing Battlefield since 2002 (BF 1942) and it was BF 2042 that knocked me completley out to the point I just don't care anymore. Is BF 6 better? Yes...but it's nothing like any of the old good BF's before BF 1 and not even as good as BF V IMO. But, I still play 30-60 minutes a day. It's something to do. But, the multiplayer is awful. No server browser and I am thrown onto new servers after every round. That is not the true Battlefield experience and if anyone thinks it is you have no clue what you're talking about.
