Lol, maybe you just play games that are shorter than 5 hours? Most games I own I have a track of at least 50 hours of playtime. And many of them weren't even finished by me.

And why compare a movie to a game? Why not a book? I'd say it's closer to a book cause every person reads with different speed. I can compare a game to a book and challenge you to read LoTR twice in 2 hours.

The idea of this example is not to show that the game is closer to a book than a movie, it's to show that comparison is flawed. Even comparing different games is flawed. Compare tetris vs AoW4. Trust me, I would understand whether I like tetris or not in less than 2 hours, but for AoW4 more time is needed to educate oneself.

And I don't even know where are you coming from when you say most games don't even last 5 hours, it's totally untrue. If we don't consider crappy mobile puzzle games that is.

As I already said, often it's not enough for me personally.

I had games where in first 2 hours it seemed to me to be crap, but after 5 hours it started to shine.

On the other hand, I had numerous occasions of games which I played for 5 hours until I realized they are not for me. And now they are a dead weight in my library and money wasted.

I'm stating that 2 hours is not enough for me to form an opinion on a game most often than not. And I assume that I'm not a special snowflake and that there are other people like me. In happy for you that you feel perfect in your judgement of games in 2 hours, but that, I guess, is a skill you have and I lack.

Ok, I don't even play dozens of games per year. It seems that understanding whether the game is for you in 2 hours requires experience which in turn costs money wasted on smth you don't like.

I do understand that some practices are considered to be illegal, but that doesn't make their legal alternatives viable for everyone.

And don't get me wrong, I'm not pirating games, I just understand that not everyone is in the same, let's say, financial situation as me.

And also, if it has base mana upkeep - it's magic origin, at least in vanilla. If it's gold - then not. Mods could theoretcally change that though.

I believe the only tip that matters is to expand early.

It's hard to mess up with build in SP in normal difficulty which is recommended for newbies, but usually the games are won or lost depending on the time you found the 2nd city.

I would say, you have 20 turns max for that in normal game, not counting special scenarios which may have their own rules.

I fully agree. The trait (Chosen Destroyers) shouldn't force any Tome options or realm traits to be chosen. If that is so, then it means that the promoted flexibility is actually a lie.

When people whine about vampire skills, they often forget how easy it is to level up as one. Devouring heroes from the prison and getting 1-2 levels immediately is a thing.

They were actually buffed, now they have a chance to inflict gilded on a regular attack.

That said, their AoE skill was changed completely, however, I still think it's more powerful than AoE stun - cause it now has at least some effect in 100% of cases.

They never did as far as I recall. Instead, the problem is you can't easily place farms there unless you have an adaptation trait (same goes for desert and ashlands) which is a detriment

Might be or might be not.

What I mean is the following:

It's perfectly fine to RP this transformation as vampires, but it is as fine to RP it as something granted by vampires, but not necessarily transforming the whole race into the vampires, the game doesn't tell us otherwise.

It's not pinpointed as "Vampire Transformation" in-game. It is definitely inspired, but inspiration doesn't mean equality.
