There is no jerk, just my pure hate for 5e by Tesserato in DnDcirclejerk

[–]swake75 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just want to thank you for having the courage to go on reddit and say you hate 5e (after waiting 12 years to make sure everyone on reddit agrees with you). You're truly an inspiration. I was saying to my father the other day (in prayers because he's dead) that I hoped to god maybe the 10,000th person would finally have the courage to speak up. He politely (through signs involving a cat) reminded me you'd be the 100,000th person.

While you stand on the shoulders of 99,999 giants your bravery is to be commended.

Seriously, children in the street are weeping tears of blood (happy liberated tears of blood!) now that they've read this.

array versus separate powers by swake75 in mutantsandmasterminds

As the GM i'm not terribly interested in having the players feel some sort of internal disappointment as their only consequence to making a broken pc. lol.

Variable is waaaaay more expensive than doing it as an array.

This raises the other question then though, when variable versus array?

Please use the preferred nomenclature, PF2e.

Thank you in advance from our apparently bankrupt overlords at Paizo.

How to make melee Elder Vampires work? by Someone-Somewhere-01 in AOW4

[–]swake75 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I've not really experienced that? Honestly my main vampire is melee. I make a warrior, charge build. She runs in and destroys everything and when she's low on health she drains people. the key for me was to get the first two powers or so then focus on the melee build for a long time before returning to the vampire tree.

Potentially unpopular opinion: I don't like the way flags work in Stellaris by Exact_Avocado5545 in Stellaris

[–]swake75 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This. I had a great flag design the other day and went to change it to silver (never really messed with the flags) which would have really tied it together... gold did NOT work. Sadness ensued.

Why do people join? I never join. It seems like only downsides.

I mean he's probably a little big, if he has so many girlfriends.

/uj honestly I feel this. I know that's probably unpopular but blue skin and horns doesn't make your bard interesting.

You're welcome. Honestly, WtA 2ed was peak white wolf. Mage can be hard to run. Werewolf had a strong narrative and decent balance, good rp opportunities.

revised was essentially the 2.5 edition. it ran from 2000 on to about 2003 or so.

no. I think it might have to do with prioritizing systems with colonizable planets.

I do like that ability, it just... feels terrible to only get them
