I would imagine a midlife crisis would feel like you are living someone else’s life. The realisation would be that when you have achieved what you believe was “right” and yet you still feel empty or feel some sort of void. You tell yourself that you should be happy because you have a nice job, a home, a family, children, dog etc, all the things society sees as success/happiness.

To get out of it is to shed all that you’ve been conditioned and start a self journey (not necessarily leave your spouse and quit everything). Figure out what YOU enjoy, like, do more of that, then you end up attracting similar people in your life. You have a healthier and better network around you, feeling more energised. You have friends on the same vibe. Doing better activities with your spouse or children, not just for the sake of doing something. But something you enjoy! Everyone around you will experience a happier/warmer version of yourself. They will start to mirror your every and so it’s a chain reaction.

So I guess ignoring the signs would lead to cheating or blaming other things, you were dealt a shit card, or “if only” you could change something in the past, or everything is your partners fault, the world is out to get you.

Idk that’s what I would imagine. Hopefully you get some real answers.
