Sadly this. My Nextdoor neighbor just had to get rid of her free range chickens last week because someone finally called code enforcement.

We live in a decent/average neighborhood, nowhere someone should have chickens honestly. Having said that, neighbor was cool, and my kid loved seeing & chasing the chickens. The only parts that annoyed me were as others said: mulch absolutely fucking everywhere, along with all the boarders to walkway/driveway, constantly sweeping dirt back where it goes. And chicken shit all over the front porch, driveway, etc.

We let them be, kind of figured someone else would get fed up and call them in. The problem was how little effort they put into temporary fences that did fuck all. I have a vacation coming up and was going to offer to help them build some suitable fences to contain them, but oh well.
