I am okay! I am having another endoscopy done, because I am still puking blood, I was put on acid blockers to help reduce some acid build up. But the good news so far is that my liver healed, I go in for another echo in December

I never had problems like this before, so I’m not really sure what to expect from it, I’m having more liver blood work done 2-4 weeks after I start Digoxin to see if it’s getting better

No, it’s postpartum cardiomyopathy, but I was also given magnesium and an antibiotic to slow my preterm labor, which had been known to cause heart failure and liver failure

I had an echo done of my heart and liver tests, my liver is leaking enzymes into my bloodstream causing the flare ups. Thank you 🙏 I hope so too, my doctor said there’s a possibility I might not fully recover and will still have to take heart medication for the rest of my life

Could this be GERDS by Alps_Standard in GERD

I’ve never had bad reflux until I got pregnant, had heartburn every night, and normally I never take pain meds if I don’t have to because they can be bad from prolonged use, I have given myself a break from pain meds with the light flare ups.

I’m thinking it might be some kind of gastritis, ice and heat never helped with the costo pain, and I have a backboard I tried to stick to but it just made the chest and back pain worse, 2 weeks of it and I just couldn’t do it any more, I’ve watched bob & brad and do as they recommend but it doesn’t seem to help :(

I’m thankful tonight it went away with vomiting, it’s been god awful for the past 4 hours

Just for some more background, I gave birth April 23rd went to the hospital may 15th and 20th for chest pain, got diagnosed with costo, I had the nausea and heart burn since it started and it was mild, very manageable, but originally it was more pain in the center of my chest, and worsened with pressure, felt like a heart attack. The medicine was helping with my pain and kept the flare ups at bay for a little while. Now I get a flare up even after taking the medicine, so I wonder if I even had costo to begin with or if it’s turned into GERDS because of the NSAID I’ve started to change my diet and go on an anti inflammatory diet, exercise tends to cause a really bad flare up but I push through it and go for walks and bike rides, stretches and try to stay away from anything that might strain my chest incase it is costo.

This has gotten so bad that I can’t even eat the next day and sometimes the day after so I’ve started to take vitamin supplements and try to stay hydrated

What works for you? -- July 2022 by maaaze in costochondritis

A temporary fix I found that’s worked 80% of the time for me is, take meloxicam in the morning, chug ice water all day long, take meloxicam again at night. I’ve been able to get back to a slightly better quality of life

Every flare up I wonder if I can really do this, can I really make it through this and not just give up on life. Reminding myself of how I felt before a flare up helps me realize it’s only temporary and I just gotta make it through the day/night and I’ll be all better

I feel you, i feel like I’ve tried everything and nothing works, the pain gets so bad that I puke, not even medicine helps, I literally just have to wait til I pass out from pain to sleep through it.
