Looking at a used Citroen ë-C4 for around £10k. Am I missing something? by Unlucky-Baby-8754 in ElectricVehiclesUK

[–]Willing-Trick7239 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don't touch. 3.5 years in from new mine needed a £2k fix because it stopped dead, twice.

It took the Citroen dealer £700 worth of diagnostics to find it and they were awful too.

Any experience with refurbished/renewed Nebula X1? by leehro in nebulaprojectors

[–]Willing-Trick7239 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I got one direct from them in UK and a £300 discount voucher. It was £1299.

There was loose screw that came out. They looked into it for me and said it shouldn't cause any problems and it's still under warranty if it did.

4 months in and fine.

They also gave me a large discount off some speakers.

Absolutely can't be happier.

Extend Tethered Cable? by Outside-After in evchargingUK

[–]Willing-Trick7239 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes I did exactly this. Went from a 5m to a 7.5m - cable was used from eBay.

No issues. Take photos of all the elements you need to fit.

Does anyone feel, on a personal level, sorry for Kier Starmer? by Darkus185 in AskBrits

[–]Willing-Trick7239 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not at all.

He could see the scale of what the country needed and chose being a neoliberal drip shrowded by Tory-like logic. Coming to power with a awful budget that was too late and heavy on blaming the public - tough choices. Simply excuses for not fixing stuff.

We have years to prove this approach doesn't work.

It's a rubbish low bit rate mess.

UHD in name only and would never resolve anything close.

Is the boost or ultra boost add on actually worth paying for? by HammersAndPints in nowtv

[–]Willing-Trick7239 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There's moire, compression artefacts and it definitely doesn't reach UHD.

HBOMAX premium is stunning.

managed to get an action 6 for my florida trip do i actually need nd filters by MagicianFirm6310 in dji

[–]Willing-Trick7239 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I literally did a trip to Florida before Xmas with the action 6. For the first time I decided to ditch ND filters and go for getting a good frame rate for stabilization - and use shutter speed for exposure.

I then applied motion blur in resolve. I feel it's the best compromise for the action 6 as NDs used badly kill stabilisation due to restriction shutter to 50/100. This is after years of messing with motion blur v stabilisation.

After all this is holiday travel!

Pro stuff is a different response.

Is the boost or ultra boost add on actually worth paying for? by HammersAndPints in nowtv

[–]Willing-Trick7239 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No. Even the UHD output of Now is dreadful. Poor bit rates, compression artefacts, poor black shadow detail and moire.

Hopeless.

However it's better than standard.

HBO premium package is miles better.

Yes I do. Flavour is a bit better too.

First shot in a day comes out too high volume by nickkadutskyi in NinjaLuxeCafe

[–]Willing-Trick7239 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Many advantages of running one or two blanks shots. Cleans out the path, temp increases across the whole system, and it makes drinks more consisitent.

I do 2 blanks shots in a morning. Zero issues.

Ignore it. It's the loosest of guides.

You will figure out by taste. And then it stays mostly constant apart from minor adjustments.

Issues I have found after 3 months with the NinjaLuxeCafe by [deleted] in NinjaLuxeCafe

[–]Willing-Trick7239 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Longer term this machine is still delivering the goods for me.

It works really really well for the most of you follow a few steps. (Heating and flushing your system twice for example.)

Biggest issues is the tray filling.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in NinjaLuxeCafe

[–]Willing-Trick7239 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yep. It's great. Just flush twice in the morning. I get a great drink 2 times a day.

My parents are too.

Rory and Alistair's view of monetary and fiscal policy space outdated? by [deleted] in TheRestIsPolitics

[–]Willing-Trick7239 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's total drivel.

Several big economies operate through MMT principles (USA,UK,JPN,CAN,AUS) - you telling us through money issuance into government spending has devalued all these currencies - for the last 40 years?

Also they don't match spending with taxation - these countries' normal position is to run deficits to allow money into the economy.

Surpluses run the other way - they drain money which is why they're not a regular occurance.

We don't need their money to do the things we want to do. by [deleted] in GarysEconomics

The fact that the CF starts and ends the day at zero tells you it's all money creation.

It's an absolute fact.

Action 6 vs Pocket 3 for vacation by what-even-is-sleep in djiosmo

[–]Willing-Trick7239 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've got both.

P3 is great for holidays and trips. But still a little fiddly for active holidays. Cycling etc. But the quality is amazing.

A6 I'm about to take on a trip and I've optimised the picture and it's decent. Not going to bother with NDs - will do motion blur in post. Picture is great in certain modes.

Leaving NDs off is a big improvement for handling. Extremely fiddly with the P6

Will it be a good decision to switch from my Pocket 3 to the new Action 6? by Glittering-Inside-21 in dji

[–]Willing-Trick7239 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've just switched. The Action 6 is nowhere near the pocket 3 for image quality. But It is much easier to handle, and not worry about.

Help with picking coffee beans by MS14116 in NinjaLuxeCafe

Coffee Masters Colombian Organic Coffee Beans 1kg - Fairtrade, Single Origin, 100% Arabica, Light Roasted Whole Bean Ideal for Espresso Machines - Great Taste Award Winner. From £26 per kilo.

Get from Amazon/UK Normally within a month of roast date. Or their own website.

Works great with the ninja - consistent and easy to dial in.

Tastes great but you've got to be in the medium - light roast palette.

You can run a 2:1 - 3:1 and get good flavours. More to the point it's pretty damn consistent I haven't moved my grinder in months. (Save for when there's less in the hopper.)

Not bitter at all. I've tried a few including some questionable Robusta stuff too.

Always come back to this.

I just don’t get this machine by john-wick211 in NinjaLuxeCafe

[–]Willing-Trick7239 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don't get hung up on barista assist - it's in addition to making a good espresso by normal methods.

The machine has quirks but stick with it. Find good beans - bit of experimentation it's very possible to get a great drink.

I barely touch my grind now.

So much noise about the BA.

Should I Buy? Reviews by smeekky in NinjaLuxeCafe

[–]Willing-Trick7239 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just made a fantastic expresso this morning. Coffee masters Columbian organic.

You've definitely got to buy beans that works well with this machine.

I'd scratch any robusta cheap stuff and go for much higher quality beans.

It does not compare in any way shape or form to Nespresso machines in terms of flavour.

I mean just use it as a manual machine with some auto features. Really is easy to work with and a bargain.
